sessions, our series right now, our YouTube series

00:00:19--> 00:00:22

with Sheikh Hamar Shukri, which honestly I've been

bingeing, rewatching, enjoying so much, and I hope

that you guys have as well,

blessed days and these final nights,

00:00:32--> 00:00:33

May all accept from you all, make Make

00:00:33--> 00:00:35

it heavy on your skills. Make you written

00:00:35--> 00:00:36

00:00:36--> 00:00:38

00:00:39--> 00:00:39

Charlene,

00:00:40--> 00:00:40

welcome back

00:00:41--> 00:00:43

from UK, from the UK. MashaAllah. Shout out

00:00:43--> 00:00:45

to the Brits, MashaAllah, who are coming in

00:00:45--> 00:00:47

later and later. Now, subhanAllah, with the time

00:00:47--> 00:00:50

change and still pushing through and joining us

00:00:50--> 00:00:51

live here for Ramadan 360.

00:00:52--> 00:00:54

It's a pleasure to be with y'all, and

00:00:54--> 00:00:56

it's a pleasure to have you guys continue

00:00:56--> 00:00:58

with us. May Allah make it easy on

00:00:58--> 00:01:01

these final nights, and Jazakumullah here for incorporating

00:01:01--> 00:01:02

us into your Ibadah as well.

00:01:03--> 00:01:05

Today is gonna be a major is gonna

00:01:05--> 00:01:07

be an amazing session, alhamdulillah, because of course

00:01:07--> 00:01:10

we have the much anticipated, the much loved

00:01:10--> 00:01:11

Usada Yasmimujahed

00:01:11--> 00:01:13

with us for the first portion of our

00:01:13--> 00:01:17

Ramadan 360 program, our 30 days of live

00:01:17--> 00:01:20

sorry. 30 days live virtual course on living

00:01:20--> 00:01:21

by the book,

00:01:21--> 00:01:23

and we are back with a bang with

00:01:23--> 00:01:26

her. You've seen her maybe through the webinars

00:01:26--> 00:01:28

that we've had. You've had some short, beautiful

00:01:28--> 00:01:30

reminders from her, on the topics that we've

00:01:30--> 00:01:32

been covering on, Oh You Who Believe, and

00:01:32--> 00:01:34

on the stories of accepted dua. And now,

00:01:34--> 00:01:34

alhamdulillah,

00:01:35--> 00:01:36

Insha'Allah, you'll get a chance to benefit from

00:01:36--> 00:01:38

her today again on the topic of truthfulness,

00:01:38--> 00:01:41

which is going to be the ideal, the

00:01:41--> 00:01:43

principle that we are focusing on for today,

00:01:43--> 00:01:43

InshaAllah.

00:01:44--> 00:01:46

I do wanna shout out, I know we

00:01:47--> 00:01:49

typically do all the charity sponsors, but today

00:01:49--> 00:01:51

we wanna do a day just focusing on

00:01:51--> 00:01:53

the amazing work of Forgotten Woman, which is

00:01:53--> 00:01:55

our UK charity sponsor. So again, shout out

00:01:55--> 00:01:57

to the Brits who make it with us

00:01:57--> 00:01:58

every single day. SubhanAllah.

00:01:58--> 00:02:00

Make it live, especially to attend in your

00:02:00--> 00:02:03

evening time for our Ramadan 360 program. Jazak

00:02:03--> 00:02:05

Makar Tafaslin for dropping that link for forgotten

00:02:05--> 00:02:07

women in the chat over here.

00:02:07--> 00:02:08

It's launchgood.comforward/almagrib

00:02:10--> 00:02:12

dash f w. But again, it's linked here

00:02:12--> 00:02:14

in the chat here here on YouTube, and

00:02:14--> 00:02:15

it's linked on the description,

00:02:16--> 00:02:17

sorry, here on Zoom, and it's linked in

00:02:17--> 00:02:18

the description on YouTube.

00:02:19--> 00:02:21

Forgotten Women, for those who may remember from

00:02:21--> 00:02:23

previous years of Ramadan 360, is a charity

00:02:23--> 00:02:24

that is really, really, really close to my

00:02:24--> 00:02:26

heart, especially because

00:02:26--> 00:02:27

they they take care of women in in

00:02:27--> 00:02:30

war torn areas who are victimized, who are,

00:02:30--> 00:02:31

who are,

00:02:32--> 00:02:33

victim of some of the worst crimes, especially

00:02:33--> 00:02:36

women and children, and female children specifically, and

00:02:36--> 00:02:38

they ensure that those who are providing aid

00:02:38--> 00:02:41

are the front lines, are females, are women

00:02:41--> 00:02:42

staffers, women aid workers,

00:02:43--> 00:02:44

so that those who are receiving the aid

00:02:44--> 00:02:47

are given, you know, that that's that's the

00:02:47--> 00:02:49

feeling of protection of safety, and they're not

00:02:49--> 00:02:51

taking advantage of. Unfortunately, a lot of, especially

00:02:51--> 00:02:54

secular organizations that provide aid on the front

00:02:54--> 00:02:54

lines of conflicts,

00:02:55--> 00:02:57

sometimes it's the aid workers themselves and sometimes,

00:02:57--> 00:02:59

unfortunately, there's been some a lot of a

00:02:59--> 00:02:59

lot of,

00:03:00--> 00:03:02

unfortunate news coming out of the experience of

00:03:02--> 00:03:03

the oppressed

00:03:04--> 00:03:06

folks who are receiving aids being victimized by

00:03:06--> 00:03:08

those who are giving the aid. So alhamdulillah,

00:03:08--> 00:03:11

Amalgrib has been very stringent with the charities

00:03:11--> 00:03:13

and with the organizations that we partner with.

00:03:13--> 00:03:15

We're so cautious, especially because a lot of

00:03:15--> 00:03:17

people have questions about, are is there is

00:03:17--> 00:03:19

the aid coming to the front lines? Are

00:03:19--> 00:03:21

people receiving it? What's happening? Where, you know,

00:03:21--> 00:03:23

is is is it stuck at the border

00:03:23--> 00:03:25

in Rafah? And alhamdulillah, you'll you'll see the

00:03:25--> 00:03:27

transparency that you've seen from Islamic Relief, our

00:03:27--> 00:03:29

Canadian, you know, charity partner and forgotten women

00:03:29--> 00:03:31

as well have been able to get 7,

00:03:32--> 00:03:34

airplanes worth of aid into Gaza because of

00:03:34--> 00:03:37

their great relationship prior to October 7th with,

00:03:37--> 00:03:40

other charity organizations and partners on the ground.

00:03:40--> 00:03:42

And I'm super excited that, we're able to

00:03:42--> 00:03:44

partner with them and that we're able to

00:03:44--> 00:03:45

to to come together as a community as

00:03:45--> 00:03:47

we do year after year and facilitate prayer

00:03:47--> 00:03:49

for our and facilitate

00:03:49--> 00:03:51

relief for our Muslim brothers and sisters, especially

00:03:51--> 00:03:53

those who are experiencing the travesty that's that's

00:03:53--> 00:03:55

happening in Gaza right now. With that said,

00:03:55--> 00:03:57

I do wanna give you guys a chance

00:03:57--> 00:03:57

to,

00:03:57--> 00:03:59

join me on screen, start your videos, stay

00:03:59--> 00:04:01

connected, and make sure that you,

00:04:01--> 00:04:03

enable as best as you can. I know

00:04:03--> 00:04:04

not everyone can join every day, but may

00:04:04--> 00:04:05

Allah make it heavy on the skills who

00:04:05--> 00:04:07

do because I'll tell you right now, the

00:04:07--> 00:04:08

folks on my screen are the ones that

00:04:08--> 00:04:09

are easiest to make the offer for, because

00:04:09--> 00:04:10

I remember their faces.

00:04:11--> 00:04:12

I remember

00:04:12--> 00:04:15

their reactions, their connections, even when they're like

00:04:15--> 00:04:17

straight faced, even when they're tired after a

00:04:17--> 00:04:17

long day,

00:04:18--> 00:04:19

it's easy to remember you. And of course,

00:04:19--> 00:04:21

those who are very vocal and very engaged,

00:04:21--> 00:04:23

may Allah reward you all. And if you're

00:04:23--> 00:04:24

just able to attend and benefit,

00:04:25--> 00:04:27

in short snippets of time in between your

00:04:27--> 00:04:29

busy schedules, Again, may I like, accept, reward

00:04:29--> 00:04:31

you all, but it's a little special, a

00:04:31--> 00:04:32

little extra little shout out to those who

00:04:32--> 00:04:34

make it on screen. I see Christina, Ilham,

00:04:34--> 00:04:37

Leila, Brother Hassan, Aisha, Ahmed, Shout out to

00:04:37--> 00:04:39

little waves. I see Alhamdulillah, Brother Salim, of

00:04:39--> 00:04:42

course, Hafsa, Masha'Allah, coming in from a really

00:04:42--> 00:04:42

beautiful background.

00:04:43--> 00:04:44

So we're gonna jump into our program once

00:04:44--> 00:04:47

again, day number 22. We're racing, racing, racing

00:04:47--> 00:04:49

towards the end. I will say I'm sure

00:04:49--> 00:04:51

we've heard a lot of,

00:04:51--> 00:04:53

you know, like, harrowing stories coming out of

00:04:53--> 00:04:54

WhatsApp.

00:04:54--> 00:04:55

I'd love to hear from you guys in

00:04:55--> 00:04:57

the chat. What is the story? What is

00:04:57--> 00:04:59

the event that struck you the most? What

00:04:59--> 00:05:01

is the thing that has really, you know,

00:05:01--> 00:05:03

made this genocide real for you and that

00:05:03--> 00:05:06

has allowed you to tune into your daaas.

00:05:06--> 00:05:09

What are you channeling into it? It'd be

00:05:09--> 00:05:11

good to kinda hear everyone else's perspectives. I

00:05:11--> 00:05:12

know a lot of information has been suppressed

00:05:12--> 00:05:13

online,

00:05:13--> 00:05:15

so we struggle to find all the information

00:05:15--> 00:05:17

about what's happening on the ground, but a

00:05:17--> 00:05:18

lot of us have seen stories and snippets

00:05:18--> 00:05:20

of some of the events that are taking

00:05:20--> 00:05:21

place. So please do share that as well,

00:05:21--> 00:05:22

Insha'Allah.

00:05:23--> 00:05:25

And of course, it's unimaginable. It's it's really

00:05:25--> 00:05:27

painful to witness. It's horrifying to see what

00:05:27--> 00:05:30

our innocent brothers and sisters have been experiencing

00:05:30--> 00:05:32

getting slaughtered in their own homes, having their

00:05:32--> 00:05:35

their entire communities decimated, all the potential sources

00:05:35--> 00:05:37

of their survival being destroyed systematically

00:05:37--> 00:05:38

1 by 1.

00:05:39--> 00:05:40

And it's really important for us as a

00:05:40--> 00:05:42

community to come together and to replace what's

00:05:42--> 00:05:44

been lost and to protect those who can't

00:05:44--> 00:05:47

protect themselves. And while the entire western world

00:05:47--> 00:05:49

is coming and and ignoring and and and

00:05:49--> 00:05:51

and diminishing the the suffering of our Palestinians

00:05:52--> 00:05:54

and and removing aid from them for us

00:05:54--> 00:05:56

to make up that difference and to protect

00:05:56--> 00:05:57

our brothers and sisters as we would want

00:05:57--> 00:05:58

ourselves to be protected if we were in

00:05:58--> 00:05:59

that situation.

00:06:00--> 00:06:02

I know it's it's very difficult, as mister

00:06:02--> 00:06:03

Gonzales is saying, to watch the videos and

00:06:03--> 00:06:05

to witness their suffering, but that's almost that's

00:06:05--> 00:06:07

the very least of our our of our

00:06:07--> 00:06:09

efforts that we can do. And it's important

00:06:09--> 00:06:11

if whatever capacity that you have to continue

00:06:11--> 00:06:13

to be active, to be vocal. I know

00:06:13--> 00:06:15

it's been 6 months in, but that they

00:06:15--> 00:06:17

rely on us getting tired and us on

00:06:17--> 00:06:19

us giving up and not and us not

00:06:19--> 00:06:21

giving financially anymore, on us just just getting

00:06:21--> 00:06:23

worn down, and we can't afford to be

00:06:23--> 00:06:25

worn down as we all know. With that

00:06:25--> 00:06:26

said, again, Forgotten Woman is one of the

00:06:26--> 00:06:28

amazing charities that does some of the great

00:06:28--> 00:06:30

work on the ground, and I highly recommend

00:06:30--> 00:06:31

you guys check them out whether or not

00:06:31--> 00:06:33

you're from the UK or not. I've supported

00:06:33--> 00:06:35

them from Canada. They have the the especially

00:06:35--> 00:06:37

LaunchGood is really convenient because it has your

00:06:37--> 00:06:39

local currency that's already built in there. So

00:06:39--> 00:06:40

you you don't have to worry about paying

00:06:40--> 00:06:42

any kind of exchange fees. So please do

00:06:42--> 00:06:43

make sure that you're supporting them generously in

00:06:43--> 00:06:45

these last 10 nights, and especially because in

00:06:45--> 00:06:46

the UK, you guys are already in your

00:06:46--> 00:06:47

nighttime.

00:06:48--> 00:06:49

With that said,

00:06:49--> 00:06:51

we will have an amazing talk to look

00:06:51--> 00:06:52

forward to today. We'll have a reminder from

00:06:52--> 00:06:54

our our friends in Forgotten Woman later on,

00:06:54--> 00:06:56

but I want to bring you guys back

00:06:56--> 00:06:59

into our session today with Usada Yassine Mujahid,

00:06:59--> 00:07:01

who's gonna be speaking on the topic of

00:07:01--> 00:07:03

truthfulness. She's one of the the instructors again,

00:07:03--> 00:07:05

you don't really need to introduce her. Her.

00:07:05--> 00:07:06

She's one I'm sure she's heard

00:07:06--> 00:07:08

so many times that same phrase of, you

00:07:08--> 00:07:10

know, she needs no introduction. But for those

00:07:10--> 00:07:12

who are not familiar, who are newer to

00:07:12--> 00:07:14

the, Amoghrib community or to the Muslim community,

00:07:14--> 00:07:17

she's a specialist in in spirituality and relationships

00:07:17--> 00:07:19

in psychology and personal development. She's been an

00:07:19--> 00:07:22

international speaker and author, and her written word

00:07:22--> 00:07:24

is is even more powerful, I would say,

00:07:24--> 00:07:26

than her than her spoken word. She's been

00:07:26--> 00:07:28

a writer for the Huffington Post and an

00:07:28--> 00:07:30

author of the books, reclaim your heart, love

00:07:30--> 00:07:33

and happiness, and very recently healing the emptiness,

00:07:33--> 00:07:34

which she just launched on-site,

00:07:35--> 00:07:36

as a class as well with the Almagrib

00:07:36--> 00:07:38

Institute. You may have had the pleasure if

00:07:38--> 00:07:39

you're in one of our major hubs and

00:07:39--> 00:07:41

cities to benefit from it already, and she's

00:07:41--> 00:07:43

gonna be touring with us soon post Ramadan

00:07:43--> 00:07:44

as well, insha'Allah.

00:07:44--> 00:07:47

So we're really looking forward to benefiting from

00:07:47--> 00:07:48

her here. You may have benefited from her

00:07:48--> 00:07:50

online through Amagrib Online and Faith Essentials as

00:07:50--> 00:07:52

well, but we are always blessed to have

00:07:52--> 00:07:54

her with her with us at these sessions,

00:07:54--> 00:07:57

alhamdulillah, and, to get a chance to spend

00:07:57--> 00:07:58

some time with her as we have been

00:07:58--> 00:08:00

in Ramadan 360 and through our webinars. So

00:08:00--> 00:08:02

with that said, I want to bring on

00:08:02--> 00:08:04

Usaida Yasmin. I know I've taken a little

00:08:04--> 00:08:05

bit of your time, but I wanna jump

00:08:05--> 00:08:06

right into your talk.

00:08:08--> 00:08:10

How are you doing this fine Monday?

00:08:12--> 00:08:14

Oh, we can't hear you just yet. You're

00:08:14--> 00:08:15

muted still.

00:08:16--> 00:08:17

Give me one second. Oh, you know what?

00:08:17--> 00:08:19

That's me. That's not that's not you. That's

00:08:19--> 00:08:20

me. That's me.

00:08:20--> 00:08:22

Try one more time, miss

00:08:23--> 00:08:25

Villa. It's it's so you're still muted. Hold

00:08:25--> 00:08:27

on. Let me just ask. There we go.

00:08:27--> 00:08:29

This is this is the this is me

00:08:29--> 00:08:32

loofing one second. Alright. Alright. 3rd time. I

00:08:32--> 00:08:34

was like I'm like try I'm like trying

00:08:34--> 00:08:35

to I'm like, I'm trying to unmute, but

00:08:35--> 00:08:37

it's not like Anyway, it's to the wrong

00:08:37--> 00:08:39

Yasmin. There's like 4, 5 Yasmin's in this

00:08:39--> 00:08:39

session.

00:08:41--> 00:08:43

So I found the right one. How are

00:08:43--> 00:08:45

you doing, miss Dana? Alhamdulillah. I'm well, alhamdulillah.

00:08:45--> 00:08:48

How are you, Hafsa? Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. I'm very

00:08:48--> 00:08:50

excited to jump in, masha'Allah. I'm I'm excited

00:08:50--> 00:08:52

for the topic of truthfulness. We've been been

00:08:52--> 00:08:53

linked to a lot of the themes that

00:08:53--> 00:08:55

we've been covering so much in Ramadan 360,

00:08:55--> 00:08:57

but especially zoning in on these final 10

00:08:57--> 00:08:59

nights, we're all trying to get as much

00:08:59--> 00:09:01

inspiration for our ibadah and for our connection

00:09:01--> 00:09:03

to Allah and try to the best versions

00:09:03--> 00:09:04

of ourselves that we can be. So cannot

00:09:04--> 00:09:06

wait to jump in as sadah.

00:09:06--> 00:09:07

Thank you so much.

00:09:08--> 00:09:09

And salaam alaikum everyone.

00:09:22--> 00:09:23

So I actually,

00:09:24--> 00:09:26

I feel so honored and actually humbled to

00:09:26--> 00:09:28

be speaking about this topic.

00:09:28--> 00:09:29

A lot of people,

00:09:30--> 00:09:31

including myself,

00:09:31--> 00:09:33

don't really understand

00:09:33--> 00:09:35

the the depth of this concept

00:09:36--> 00:09:37

called. Now,

00:09:38--> 00:09:39

the concept itself,

00:09:39--> 00:09:41

the translation of the word is

00:09:41--> 00:09:43

usually, obviously,

00:09:43--> 00:09:44

truthfulness.

00:09:45--> 00:09:47

But oftentimes people limit

00:09:47--> 00:09:50

the their understanding of truthfulness to just the

00:09:50--> 00:09:52

truthfulness of the tongue.

00:09:52--> 00:09:54

Now as you and I know, we are

00:09:54--> 00:09:57

not just a tongue, right? We are,

00:09:57--> 00:09:58

essentially,

00:09:59--> 00:10:00

driven by this

00:10:01--> 00:10:03

lump of flesh in our body called the

00:10:03--> 00:10:04

qalb, the heart.

00:10:05--> 00:10:07

And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, in

00:10:07--> 00:10:09

fact, told us the importance of the qalb

00:10:09--> 00:10:10

because he says,

00:10:12--> 00:10:14

indeed in the body there's a lump of

00:10:14--> 00:10:15

flesh,

00:10:16--> 00:10:17

if it is set right

00:10:18--> 00:10:20

the entire body will be

00:10:23--> 00:10:24

set right and if it is corrupted then

00:10:24--> 00:10:26

the entire body will be corrupted.

00:10:28--> 00:10:31

So, indeed, we know that the the Kalb

00:10:31--> 00:10:33

is actually the master of the body.

00:10:33--> 00:10:35

Now, when we talk about silk,

00:10:35--> 00:10:37

silk here is referring to

00:10:38--> 00:10:40

not just truthfulness of the tongue, but truthfulness

00:10:41--> 00:10:41

of the

00:10:42--> 00:10:45

not just truthfulness of the of the words,

00:10:45--> 00:10:46

but truthfulness of the heart.

00:10:47--> 00:10:49

And that is a very very deep concept,

00:10:49--> 00:10:51

which I want to try to touch upon,

00:10:52--> 00:10:53

today inshallah.

00:10:53--> 00:10:55

So the definitions

00:10:55--> 00:10:56

of

00:10:56--> 00:10:57

for example,

00:10:57--> 00:11:00

Ibn Qayyim Rahimahullah when he defines

00:11:02--> 00:11:05

so, Ibn Khayyim writes a book about the

00:11:05--> 00:11:08

stations of those who are journeying towards Allah

00:11:08--> 00:11:09

subhanahu wa ta'ala,

00:11:09--> 00:11:11

those who are who are really

00:11:11--> 00:11:14

on this journey that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:11:14--> 00:11:14

tells us about,

00:11:18--> 00:11:20

That we have not created jinn and human

00:11:20--> 00:11:21

beings for any

00:11:21--> 00:11:23

other purpose except

00:11:24--> 00:11:24

and

00:11:25--> 00:11:26

is to

00:11:26--> 00:11:28

know Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and then to

00:11:28--> 00:11:29

submit

00:11:29--> 00:11:31

entirely, lovingly,

00:11:31--> 00:11:35

fullheartedly to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Worship at

00:11:35--> 00:11:37

its at its deepest essence,

00:11:37--> 00:11:39

not just to pray

00:11:40--> 00:11:43

or make du'a to something, but to truly

00:11:43--> 00:11:45

submit your entire self to that. That is

00:11:45--> 00:11:48

actually the purpose for which we were created

00:11:48--> 00:11:49

is.

00:11:50--> 00:11:53

So, when Ibn Khayyim write writes this book,

00:11:54--> 00:11:57

he's talking about the different stations

00:11:57--> 00:11:58

on the path

00:11:58--> 00:12:01

to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. This is

00:12:01--> 00:12:03

the the stations of a Selikin,

00:12:04--> 00:12:06

those who are on the path to Allah

00:12:06--> 00:12:07

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

00:12:07--> 00:12:10

Now, what he explains in this book is

00:12:10--> 00:12:11

that the greatest station

00:12:12--> 00:12:12

is

00:12:13--> 00:12:16

The greatest station is Why? Because

00:12:16--> 00:12:18

as he defines it, it's the complete

00:12:19--> 00:12:19

resolve.

00:12:20--> 00:12:23

And here resolve, the asthma, asthma. And this

00:12:23--> 00:12:25

is when you have made a complete when

00:12:25--> 00:12:27

you've made it when you've made a a

00:12:27--> 00:12:31

decision and you're completely resolute in that decision

00:12:31--> 00:12:31

as

00:12:31--> 00:12:34

a strong want or desire and this is

00:12:35--> 00:12:36

and I'm gonna talk a little bit about

00:12:37--> 00:12:39

because is very important to this concept.

00:12:39--> 00:12:40

It's a

00:12:40--> 00:12:43

strong a desire or a want

00:12:43--> 00:12:46

by which the heart will have a strong

00:12:46--> 00:12:47

truthful

00:12:47--> 00:12:48

drive

00:12:48--> 00:12:51

to seek a way or a door to

00:12:51--> 00:12:52

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

00:12:53--> 00:12:54

It is a strong inclination

00:12:55--> 00:12:56

that overcomes

00:12:57--> 00:12:57

oneself.

00:12:58--> 00:13:00

And I want you to listen carefully to

00:13:00--> 00:13:02

that part and to hold on to that

00:13:02--> 00:13:03

part. That's gonna be the,

00:13:04--> 00:13:05

very deep

00:13:06--> 00:13:06

essence

00:13:07--> 00:13:09

of silk. That it overcomes

00:13:09--> 00:13:10

oneself,

00:13:11--> 00:13:12

one's own

00:13:13--> 00:13:15

desire, one's own Iradah,

00:13:15--> 00:13:17

one's own nafs

00:13:18--> 00:13:20

and forces that person to instead

00:13:20--> 00:13:21

of seeking oneself,

00:13:22--> 00:13:23

seeking

00:13:23--> 00:13:26

Allah Now let me explain. So there are

00:13:26--> 00:13:29

some examples that I wanna use before I

00:13:29--> 00:13:30

continue to explain.

00:13:30--> 00:13:31

One of the examples,

00:13:32--> 00:13:34

this is a narration of a story that

00:13:34--> 00:13:34

happened,

00:13:35--> 00:13:37

at the time when there was, you know,

00:13:37--> 00:13:39

at this time when when there was care,

00:13:39--> 00:13:41

you know, when people were doing business at

00:13:41--> 00:13:43

this time, it wasn't how we did business,

00:13:43--> 00:13:45

or how we do business now. You know,

00:13:45--> 00:13:47

we do business online and then we ship,

00:13:47--> 00:13:49

the goods using

00:13:49--> 00:13:52

using, DHL or using UPS,

00:13:52--> 00:13:55

the postal service. This was like in order

00:13:55--> 00:13:57

to do business, you had to travel with

00:13:57--> 00:13:59

caravans full of your goods

00:13:59--> 00:14:02

for months at a time and it was

00:14:02--> 00:14:02

extremely

00:14:02--> 00:14:05

difficult to do this. So one of these

00:14:05--> 00:14:06

cases was a caravan

00:14:07--> 00:14:10

where this person had been traveling for months

00:14:10--> 00:14:11

and,

00:14:11--> 00:14:14

and had finally gotten their wealth, you know,

00:14:14--> 00:14:15

their money and they were returning to their

00:14:15--> 00:14:16

family

00:14:16--> 00:14:18

when a group of bandits came

00:14:20--> 00:14:21

and basically stole

00:14:22--> 00:14:23

all of the goods.

00:14:23--> 00:14:26

Now while these bandits were, you know, taking

00:14:26--> 00:14:27

their the goods,

00:14:28--> 00:14:30

they also ended up taking the food

00:14:31--> 00:14:33

as well. And so, what this person narrates

00:14:33--> 00:14:35

is that he saw the group of thieves

00:14:35--> 00:14:38

sitting and they were eating, but he noticed

00:14:38--> 00:14:39

that their

00:14:39--> 00:14:42

leader so the leader of the bandits of

00:14:42--> 00:14:44

the thieves was not eating and he went

00:14:44--> 00:14:46

off by himself.

00:14:46--> 00:14:49

And when he found out why that leader

00:14:49--> 00:14:50

was not eating,

00:14:51--> 00:14:53

the leader, again, of the bandits, of the

00:14:53--> 00:14:55

thieves said,

00:14:55--> 00:14:57

I'm not eating because I'm fasting.

00:14:58--> 00:15:00

Alright? So now keep that in mind.

00:15:00--> 00:15:03

This is a man who literally leads

00:15:04--> 00:15:04

thieves,

00:15:05--> 00:15:06

and yet he's fasting.

00:15:07--> 00:15:09

And so the man says to him, who's

00:15:09--> 00:15:11

just been literally robbed and taken over by

00:15:11--> 00:15:12

these bandits,

00:15:13--> 00:15:15

his reaction is like our reaction, which is,

00:15:16--> 00:15:18

what are you doing? You're you're a thief.

00:15:18--> 00:15:21

You're leading bandits of thieves, and yet you're

00:15:21--> 00:15:22

fasting.

00:15:22--> 00:15:24

And you know what the man says? The

00:15:24--> 00:15:24

thief.

00:15:25--> 00:15:26

He says,

00:15:26--> 00:15:28

it's a door that I leave open to

00:15:28--> 00:15:29

Allah

00:15:30--> 00:15:32

It's a door that I leave open to

00:15:32--> 00:15:32

Allah.

00:15:34--> 00:15:36

Now let me explain that for a second,

00:15:36--> 00:15:38

and then I'll fast forward to what happens

00:15:38--> 00:15:39

many years later.

00:15:40--> 00:15:43

What he's referring to here is he is

00:15:43--> 00:15:44

recognizing

00:15:45--> 00:15:47

at some level that what he is doing

00:15:47--> 00:15:49

is wrong. He is truthful

00:15:50--> 00:15:52

about the fact that his lifestyle

00:15:52--> 00:15:55

is sinful. It is wrong. That he is

00:15:55--> 00:15:57

going against the laws of Allah

00:15:57--> 00:15:59

That he is rebelling against Allah

00:16:00--> 00:16:02

And so he's not pretending.

00:16:03--> 00:16:04

He's not making excuses

00:16:05--> 00:16:08

for what he wants to do. But he

00:16:08--> 00:16:09

is at least truthful

00:16:10--> 00:16:12

and and admitting that what he's doing is

00:16:12--> 00:16:13

wrong.

00:16:14--> 00:16:14

And yet

00:16:15--> 00:16:16

and because of that,

00:16:17--> 00:16:19

he wants to keep a door open

00:16:20--> 00:16:22

to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in hopes

00:16:22--> 00:16:24

that at some point

00:16:24--> 00:16:27

he can reach Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, that

00:16:27--> 00:16:28

Allah can

00:16:28--> 00:16:30

reach to him and guide him through that

00:16:30--> 00:16:31

door,

00:16:31--> 00:16:34

To leave the sin that he is now

00:16:34--> 00:16:35

living in.

00:16:35--> 00:16:36

Now, fast forward,

00:16:37--> 00:16:39

many years later, this man who was robbed

00:16:40--> 00:16:41

is now at Umrah.

00:16:41--> 00:16:44

And while he's there, he sees a man

00:16:44--> 00:16:45

who was so

00:16:46--> 00:16:47

intensely repentant.

00:16:47--> 00:16:50

This man just looks like he is

00:16:50--> 00:16:52

really, you know, like the essence of Tawba,

00:16:53--> 00:16:55

and he's turning to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

00:16:55--> 00:16:56

with so much humility.

00:16:57--> 00:16:59

And he goes closer to that man and

00:16:59--> 00:17:02

he recognizes that it is the leader of

00:17:02--> 00:17:02

the bandits.

00:17:03--> 00:17:05

Now why and this is

00:17:06--> 00:17:09

this is exactly what is meant here by

00:17:09--> 00:17:09

siddiq.

00:17:10--> 00:17:12

Even when that man was in the midst

00:17:12--> 00:17:13

of his sinning,

00:17:14--> 00:17:15

he was at least

00:17:16--> 00:17:16

truthful

00:17:17--> 00:17:19

about the fact that number 1, what he

00:17:19--> 00:17:22

was doing was wrong. He was not justifying

00:17:22--> 00:17:22

it.

00:17:23--> 00:17:24

He was not,

00:17:25--> 00:17:27

he was not making excuses for it but

00:17:27--> 00:17:28

rather

00:17:28--> 00:17:31

he was truthful enough to recognize that what

00:17:31--> 00:17:33

he was doing was wrong and he continued

00:17:34--> 00:17:36

to leave a door open of Ibadah.

00:17:37--> 00:17:38

Now, why do I say this? Because I

00:17:38--> 00:17:40

think a lot of us,

00:17:40--> 00:17:41

when we find ourselves

00:17:42--> 00:17:43

in a place where we're not living a

00:17:43--> 00:17:46

good life or maybe we are sinning or

00:17:46--> 00:17:47

we're living a sinful life,

00:17:48--> 00:17:51

sometimes we go down one of 2 pathways.

00:17:52--> 00:17:55

Oftentimes, what we see, especially in the modern

00:17:55--> 00:17:55

world,

00:17:56--> 00:17:57

is the pathway of

00:17:58--> 00:17:58

basically,

00:18:01--> 00:18:02

comforting the nafs.

00:18:02--> 00:18:04

And in this way, basically,

00:18:05--> 00:18:06

justifying the sin.

00:18:07--> 00:18:09

Right? If you want to,

00:18:09--> 00:18:11

you know, take off your hijab, you won't

00:18:11--> 00:18:14

say that I'm struggling with this command of

00:18:14--> 00:18:17

Allah. Instead he'll say, I'm being true to

00:18:17--> 00:18:18

myself

00:18:18--> 00:18:20

or I didn't wanna be a hypocrite. I'm

00:18:20--> 00:18:21

actually

00:18:21--> 00:18:23

feeling more closer

00:18:23--> 00:18:26

this way. So it's a justification

00:18:26--> 00:18:28

rather than an admission and a truthfulness

00:18:29--> 00:18:31

that, yes, I am struggling with hijab.

00:18:32--> 00:18:35

I am struggling. But rather instead of that

00:18:35--> 00:18:37

truthfulness, we go and we justify

00:18:38--> 00:18:39

and we beautify the sin.

00:18:40--> 00:18:43

Similarly, we see this all around when it

00:18:43--> 00:18:45

comes to things like haram love,

00:18:45--> 00:18:48

when it comes to love that is outside

00:18:49--> 00:18:51

the the laws of the Sharia, whether that

00:18:51--> 00:18:54

is whether that is in dating or in

00:18:54--> 00:18:57

extramarital affairs or that is in any type

00:18:57--> 00:19:00

of attraction to someone who is not halal

00:19:00--> 00:19:02

for us, whether that has to do with

00:19:02--> 00:19:04

gender or that has to do with whether

00:19:04--> 00:19:06

or not that those two people are married.

00:19:07--> 00:19:09

But at the end of the day, do

00:19:09--> 00:19:11

we acknowledge and are we truthful

00:19:12--> 00:19:14

that this is wrong, but I'm struggling?

00:19:16--> 00:19:16

Or do we

00:19:17--> 00:19:19

justify? And do we say,

00:19:19--> 00:19:22

but it's love. Right? Love is love. Right?

00:19:22--> 00:19:25

The idea of love is love is what?

00:19:25--> 00:19:26

It's the justification

00:19:26--> 00:19:27

of something

00:19:28--> 00:19:31

even when it goes against the Sharia, when

00:19:31--> 00:19:32

it goes against the laws

00:19:32--> 00:19:34

that are determined by our creator.

00:19:35--> 00:19:36

So what is truthfulness?

00:19:36--> 00:19:39

Truthfulness is for me to admit

00:19:39--> 00:19:41

even when I'm in the wrong,

00:19:41--> 00:19:43

to admit that what I'm doing

00:19:44--> 00:19:46

Yes, I am struggling

00:19:46--> 00:19:47

and when

00:19:48--> 00:19:49

we have truthfulness,

00:19:50--> 00:19:51

even when we're struggling,

00:19:52--> 00:19:54

even when we are sinning in fact, if

00:19:54--> 00:19:57

we continue to have truthfulness

00:19:57--> 00:19:59

and we are not trying to,

00:20:01--> 00:20:04

sort of make the laws of God subservient

00:20:04--> 00:20:05

to our nafs,

00:20:05--> 00:20:06

but rather

00:20:07--> 00:20:09

trying our best to make our nafs subservient

00:20:10--> 00:20:11

to the laws of Allah. When we have

00:20:11--> 00:20:12

that,

00:20:13--> 00:20:15

even when we are in a place where

00:20:15--> 00:20:17

we might be down or we might be

00:20:18--> 00:20:19

living a life of sin,

00:20:20--> 00:20:22

So long as we have truthfulness with Allah

00:20:22--> 00:20:24

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and we do our best

00:20:24--> 00:20:27

not to close all the doors to Allah

00:20:27--> 00:20:28

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,

00:20:28--> 00:20:30

Then insha Allah eventually,

00:20:30--> 00:20:32

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala can pull us out

00:20:32--> 00:20:34

of that life of sin. And that is

00:20:34--> 00:20:36

what this story indicates. Now,

00:20:36--> 00:20:37

a lot of people,

00:20:39--> 00:20:39

get confused

00:20:40--> 00:20:41

between 2 very similar concepts.

00:20:42--> 00:20:45

1 is the concept of Ikhlas, which is

00:20:45--> 00:20:45

sincerity,

00:20:46--> 00:20:48

and the other is the concept of

00:20:48--> 00:20:51

which is truthfulness as I've described.

00:20:52--> 00:20:55

What scholars explain is the difference between

00:20:55--> 00:20:55

sincerity,

00:20:56--> 00:20:56

and

00:20:57--> 00:20:58

truthfulness

00:20:58--> 00:21:02

is that sincerity is to seek Allah subhanahu

00:21:02--> 00:21:02

wa ta'ala

00:21:03--> 00:21:04

without

00:21:04--> 00:21:06

seeking the praises

00:21:06--> 00:21:07

or the,

00:21:08--> 00:21:10

the gifts that we would get from the

00:21:10--> 00:21:10

creation.

00:21:11--> 00:21:13

Right? So it's to seek for the sake

00:21:13--> 00:21:15

of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

00:21:15--> 00:21:16

without

00:21:16--> 00:21:18

and basically detaching ourselves

00:21:19--> 00:21:23

from reward or praise from people, from the

00:21:23--> 00:21:24

eyes of the people.

00:21:25--> 00:21:26

So it's sincerity,

00:21:26--> 00:21:29

which is oftentimes what we talk about is

00:21:29--> 00:21:29

this,

00:21:30--> 00:21:33

you know, being safe from riya, for example,

00:21:33--> 00:21:35

to show off. It's that I'm not praying

00:21:36--> 00:21:39

or fasting or giving zek or giving a

00:21:39--> 00:21:41

charity or zakah for the people or so

00:21:41--> 00:21:44

that the people will will see me or

00:21:44--> 00:21:47

give me something of praise or acknowledgement or

00:21:47--> 00:21:47

recognition.

00:21:48--> 00:21:50

That's sincerity. That's ikhlas.

00:21:51--> 00:21:52

But then there's another level.

00:21:52--> 00:21:54

And that other level

00:21:54--> 00:21:57

is when I seek the pleasure of Allah

00:21:57--> 00:21:58

subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:21:59--> 00:22:01

without getting something or without

00:22:02--> 00:22:03

the the gifts

00:22:04--> 00:22:06

so and so or the the ownership of

00:22:06--> 00:22:07

my nafs.

00:22:08--> 00:22:09

So when you are sincere,

00:22:10--> 00:22:11

when you have Ikhlas,

00:22:11--> 00:22:13

you are trying to seek the pleasure of

00:22:13--> 00:22:14

Allah

00:22:15--> 00:22:16

without getting gifts

00:22:17--> 00:22:18

from the

00:22:19--> 00:22:19

people.

00:22:20--> 00:22:22

And when you have when you have truthfulness,

00:22:23--> 00:22:25

it's to seek the pleasure of Allah

00:22:25--> 00:22:28

without the payments and the gifts from the

00:22:28--> 00:22:28

nafs.

00:22:29--> 00:22:31

And this is where Ojib comes in. So

00:22:31--> 00:22:33

I'll give you an example to explain this

00:22:33--> 00:22:34

this idea.

00:22:35--> 00:22:37

Imagine that you wanna pray tahajjud.

00:22:38--> 00:22:39

You wanna pray qiyamulayl.

00:22:40--> 00:22:41

So you find a time

00:22:41--> 00:22:43

when you pray and no one knows about

00:22:43--> 00:22:47

it. Right? That's sikhlas. Right? That's sincerity. No

00:22:47--> 00:22:49

one knows about it. You're doing it purely

00:22:49--> 00:22:51

for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:22:51--> 00:22:52

But then,

00:22:52--> 00:22:54

as you're praying and, you know, you're really

00:22:54--> 00:22:56

you're really killing it with your prayer, you're

00:22:56--> 00:22:58

really killing it with your with your recitation.

00:22:59--> 00:23:02

So now your nefs sees it. Your ego

00:23:02--> 00:23:04

sees it. And now your nefs and your

00:23:04--> 00:23:07

ego starts to say, wow, Look at that.

00:23:08--> 00:23:10

And so now, what happens is what you

00:23:10--> 00:23:12

what can happen is that you can now

00:23:12--> 00:23:14

do it for the nafs and for the

00:23:14--> 00:23:15

ego,

00:23:15--> 00:23:16

Basically,

00:23:17--> 00:23:18

to be impressed with yourself.

00:23:19--> 00:23:22

So so, sincerity is to is to worship

00:23:22--> 00:23:22

Allah,

00:23:23--> 00:23:25

not looking for praise from people,

00:23:25--> 00:23:27

not looking to impress people.

00:23:29--> 00:23:30

Which is even deeper,

00:23:31--> 00:23:34

is to worship Allah without looking to impress

00:23:34--> 00:23:34

yourself,

00:23:35--> 00:23:38

without looking to impress your ego, your nafs,

00:23:38--> 00:23:40

without looking to be like,

00:23:40--> 00:23:43

you know, like, I'm I'm awesome, you know,

00:23:43--> 00:23:44

to yourself.

00:23:44--> 00:23:46

And subhanAllah, this is something a lot of

00:23:46--> 00:23:47

us miss.

00:23:48--> 00:23:50

When we look at, you know, there's like

00:23:50--> 00:23:53

this this this beautiful statement.

00:23:54--> 00:23:56

In fact, it is very much a struggle.

00:23:57--> 00:23:58

This beautiful statement,

00:23:59--> 00:24:02

where where, one of the companions says

00:24:03--> 00:24:03

that

00:24:04--> 00:24:06

one of the most difficult,

00:24:07--> 00:24:07

sort of

00:24:08--> 00:24:11

the the most the most difficult traps

00:24:11--> 00:24:13

is when we are

00:24:14--> 00:24:16

seeking Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala but we are

00:24:16--> 00:24:17

stuck

00:24:17--> 00:24:19

in the in sort of the,

00:24:20--> 00:24:21

the chains

00:24:22--> 00:24:24

of seeking the approval of people. So he

00:24:24--> 00:24:27

he's basically talking about what is the worst

00:24:27--> 00:24:30

type of bondage? What is the worst type

00:24:30--> 00:24:31

of oppression.

00:24:31--> 00:24:33

It's essentially when we become

00:24:34--> 00:24:35

distracted.

00:24:36--> 00:24:39

Yes. When we become distracted from Allah subhanahu

00:24:39--> 00:24:39

ta'ala

00:24:40--> 00:24:43

because we are so focused on pleasing people.

00:24:44--> 00:24:45

He says that is one of the worst

00:24:46--> 00:24:47

types of,

00:24:47--> 00:24:48

slavery

00:24:48--> 00:24:51

is to become distracted from Allah

00:24:51--> 00:24:55

because we're so focused on pleasing people.

00:24:55--> 00:24:58

But he said an even worse bondage

00:24:58--> 00:25:00

and even worse oppression

00:25:00--> 00:25:03

is to become distracted from Allah

00:25:04--> 00:25:07

because we're so focused on pleasing our own

00:25:07--> 00:25:07

self.

00:25:08--> 00:25:10

Listen to that. How deep is that? Like,

00:25:10--> 00:25:12

we're so focused.

00:25:12--> 00:25:14

Not okay. We might get over people. I

00:25:14--> 00:25:16

don't care what anyone thinks.

00:25:16--> 00:25:18

But then what's it? What is it? Oh,

00:25:18--> 00:25:19

I don't care what anyone thinks. I'm gonna

00:25:19--> 00:25:20

do me.

00:25:20--> 00:25:23

Right? I'm gonna do me. I'm gonna do

00:25:23--> 00:25:23

what makes

00:25:24--> 00:25:24

me happy.

00:25:25--> 00:25:27

I'm gonna do what I think, what I

00:25:27--> 00:25:29

want, what I desire, my

00:25:29--> 00:25:32

all that matters is me. And that's that's

00:25:32--> 00:25:34

even worse. That's a that's an even deeper

00:25:34--> 00:25:37

type of bondage. Because even if no one's

00:25:37--> 00:25:40

around, okay, you're no longer a people pleaser.

00:25:40--> 00:25:41

But

00:25:41--> 00:25:43

now, if you become a slave to yourself,

00:25:44--> 00:25:47

that's that's also a type of slavery and

00:25:47--> 00:25:48

oppression.

00:25:50--> 00:25:52

Is to free yourself of that type of

00:25:52--> 00:25:53

bondage

00:25:53--> 00:25:55

where you are not distracted

00:25:56--> 00:25:58

from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala by the nafs.

00:25:59--> 00:26:02

Just like sincerity or ikhlas is to not

00:26:02--> 00:26:05

be distracted from Allah Subhanu Wa Ta'la by

00:26:05--> 00:26:07

the people. Oh, I want to please people,

00:26:07--> 00:26:08

I want people to look at me and

00:26:08--> 00:26:10

say this or I want people to say

00:26:10--> 00:26:10

I'm

00:26:11--> 00:26:13

that. Okay. You might not have that but

00:26:13--> 00:26:16

sit is to not be distracted from Allah

00:26:16--> 00:26:18

by your own nafs,

00:26:19--> 00:26:20

that I like this.

00:26:20--> 00:26:22

I want this. I think this. You know,

00:26:22--> 00:26:24

someone tells you this is haram,

00:26:25--> 00:26:26

but you want it.

00:26:26--> 00:26:30

This is haram, but you desire it. Right?

00:26:30--> 00:26:33

You love it and you are not willing

00:26:33--> 00:26:35

to give that up for the sake of

00:26:35--> 00:26:37

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:26:37--> 00:26:39

And so what sit does

00:26:39--> 00:26:40

is it becomes

00:26:41--> 00:26:43

one of the biggest doors to Allah subhanahu

00:26:43--> 00:26:46

wa ta'ala that even when we are in

00:26:46--> 00:26:49

the midst of living a sinful life,

00:26:50--> 00:26:52

if we continue to hold on to

00:26:53--> 00:26:56

be truthful with Allah. Don't lie to yourself,

00:26:56--> 00:26:58

don't lie to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala about

00:26:58--> 00:27:01

where you're at and be truthful in your.

00:27:03--> 00:27:04

Now, going to

00:27:05--> 00:27:07

is that very determined

00:27:08--> 00:27:09

desire and want.

00:27:12--> 00:27:15

Truthfulness in your desire, in your want

00:27:15--> 00:27:16

is very important.

00:27:17--> 00:27:19

Do you truly seek Allah

00:27:20--> 00:27:23

Are you truthful in wanting to please Allah

00:27:24--> 00:27:25

And if you are truthful

00:27:26--> 00:27:28

in wanting to seek and please allah subhanahu

00:27:28--> 00:27:31

wa ta'ala, Allah will help you. Allah will

00:27:31--> 00:27:33

open the door for you. The question is

00:27:33--> 00:27:34

this,

00:27:34--> 00:27:35

am I truthful?

00:27:35--> 00:27:37

Because many of us, yeah, we say, oh

00:27:37--> 00:27:40

yeah. Yeah, I wanna I wanna do good

00:27:40--> 00:27:42

or I wanna I wanna please Allah

00:27:42--> 00:27:43

but are we truthful?

00:27:44--> 00:27:45

Or is it that we are either looking

00:27:45--> 00:27:49

to please people or looking to please ourselves,

00:27:49--> 00:27:51

doing what I think, what I want, what

00:27:51--> 00:27:52

I desire

00:27:52--> 00:27:54

without being willing to submit

00:27:55--> 00:27:57

to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:27:57--> 00:27:59

and wanting allah's

00:27:59--> 00:28:00

happiness

00:28:00--> 00:28:02

over my own happiness. And inshallah, I'll wrap

00:28:02--> 00:28:03

up with this.

00:28:04--> 00:28:06

So one of the stations going back to

00:28:06--> 00:28:08

the book, that I mentioned at the beginning,

00:28:08--> 00:28:11

Madera j Salikim, one of the stations that

00:28:11--> 00:28:13

Ibn Al Qayim refers to is the station

00:28:13--> 00:28:15

of Iradah. And Iradah

00:28:15--> 00:28:19

is this this this desire or want for

00:28:19--> 00:28:19

something.

00:28:20--> 00:28:21

And he explains something very profound.

00:28:22--> 00:28:25

Listen to this. Right? He says that the

00:28:25--> 00:28:27

station of iroda,

00:28:27--> 00:28:28

true iroda,

00:28:29--> 00:28:31

is actually to not have iroda. What does

00:28:31--> 00:28:32

that mean?

00:28:33--> 00:28:33

To not

00:28:34--> 00:28:34

have

00:28:35--> 00:28:37

a want or a desire

00:28:38--> 00:28:39

of your own

00:28:39--> 00:28:42

except for what Allah wants from you.

00:28:43--> 00:28:44

So as they say,

00:28:45--> 00:28:46

that this this

00:28:51--> 00:28:51

which means,

00:28:52--> 00:28:53

I desire.

00:28:54--> 00:28:55

I want

00:28:56--> 00:28:58

to not want

00:28:59--> 00:29:01

except what Allah wants.

00:29:01--> 00:29:04

Now, how deep is that? That is the

00:29:04--> 00:29:05

essence of

00:29:06--> 00:29:08

It is to be is to want what

00:29:08--> 00:29:10

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:29:10--> 00:29:13

wants without that interference of the nafs.

00:29:14--> 00:29:15

Now we are all

00:29:15--> 00:29:17

imperfect and human

00:29:17--> 00:29:20

and these are stations that, you know, they're

00:29:20--> 00:29:21

not like

00:29:21--> 00:29:23

you it's easy to get there and then

00:29:23--> 00:29:24

you just live there and, you know, you're

00:29:24--> 00:29:26

you're you're, you know, you you sit back

00:29:26--> 00:29:28

and no more struggle.

00:29:28--> 00:29:29

We are constantly

00:29:30--> 00:29:32

struggling and Allah Subhanu Wa Ta'la

00:29:32--> 00:29:35

appreciates the struggle. Allah Subhanu Wa Ta'la sees

00:29:35--> 00:29:37

every single one of our struggles and so

00:29:37--> 00:29:39

what we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is

00:29:39--> 00:29:42

to bless us with sincerity and to bless

00:29:42--> 00:29:43

us with truthfulness

00:29:43--> 00:29:45

but to make it easy for us. We

00:29:45--> 00:29:47

ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to make it

00:29:47--> 00:29:49

so that we want

00:29:49--> 00:29:52

what Allah wants and that the wants of

00:29:52--> 00:29:55

our nafs and our self do not become

00:29:55--> 00:29:56

obstacles

00:29:56--> 00:29:58

to seeking the pleasure of Allah

00:30:06--> 00:30:08

You always leave us speechless, and I feel

00:30:08--> 00:30:09

like so many people are in the chat

00:30:09--> 00:30:10

are here resonating. I can tell by the

00:30:10--> 00:30:12

number of questions I've received from the very

00:30:12--> 00:30:14

beginning of the session. Usually, people wait until

00:30:14--> 00:30:16

the end to to to send their questions,

00:30:16--> 00:30:18

and I I see, so many of them

00:30:18--> 00:30:19

coming in. And I know you guys wanna

00:30:19--> 00:30:22

continue benefiting from us, but we're just gonna

00:30:22--> 00:30:23

have a quick pause, Insha'Allah,

00:30:23--> 00:30:25

to hear from the amazing folks at Forgotten

00:30:25--> 00:30:26

Woman

00:30:26--> 00:30:28

and my sister from another mister, sister Sadia

00:30:28--> 00:30:31

Sajid. Inshallah, so Sadia means hang tight, inshallah.

00:30:31--> 00:30:32

We'll be right back with you for the

00:30:32--> 00:30:35

remainder of our session on and truthfulness inshallah.

00:30:36--> 00:30:37

With that said, Sadia,

00:30:37--> 00:30:40

it's your show inshallah. Welcome back to Ramadan

00:30:40--> 00:30:42

360. It's been way too long, a full

00:30:42--> 00:30:44

calendar year almost, I would say.

00:30:45--> 00:30:46

How have you been?

00:30:46--> 00:30:48

Very well. Thank you. JazakAllah, and thank you

00:30:48--> 00:30:49

so much,

00:30:49--> 00:30:51

for such a beautiful talk.

00:30:51--> 00:30:53

It's a topic that's very dear to my

00:30:53--> 00:30:54

heart, when it comes to Sudhak. Can we

00:30:54--> 00:30:56

talk about Sudhak in relation to siddhaka as

00:30:56--> 00:30:59

well? Absolutely. It's definitely something that I really

00:30:59--> 00:31:01

do resonate so powerfully with me. So Barkol

00:31:01--> 00:31:03

Afrika for such a beautiful topic. And I

00:31:03--> 00:31:05

think it's something that we all need in

00:31:05--> 00:31:06

these, like, best few days. We've only got

00:31:06--> 00:31:07

a few more days left of Ramadan.

00:31:08--> 00:31:09

We need that.

00:31:10--> 00:31:12

This is our spiritual sustenance that we actually

00:31:12--> 00:31:13

need to consume in the in these days.

00:31:13--> 00:31:14

So

00:31:14--> 00:31:16

for this. And of course, as always to,

00:31:17--> 00:31:19

Al Maghrib for always hosting such amazing things

00:31:19--> 00:31:21

just as we need it as well. Baragolafikum.

00:31:22--> 00:31:24

So I'm here on behalf of, Forgotten Women,

00:31:24--> 00:31:26

which is a charity that is based in

00:31:26--> 00:31:28

the UK, but they operate across the world

00:31:28--> 00:31:30

where there is most needed. And they're a

00:31:30--> 00:31:32

charity that has been set up specifically to

00:31:32--> 00:31:33

try and support women,

00:31:34--> 00:31:36

who are in desperate need and children. Now

00:31:36--> 00:31:38

we find that across the world, wherever there

00:31:38--> 00:31:40

is a conflict, unfortunately, it's women and children

00:31:40--> 00:31:42

who suffer the most. And they are the

00:31:42--> 00:31:44

ones who, even in their most absolute depths

00:31:45--> 00:31:47

of, you know, despair and vulnerability,

00:31:47--> 00:31:51

they are unfortunately exploited against. So, subhanAllah, this

00:31:51--> 00:31:53

charity was set up to try and protect

00:31:53--> 00:31:55

the sisters who are in

00:31:55--> 00:31:57

their moments of absolute

00:31:57--> 00:31:59

darkness and ensure that no one can further

00:31:59--> 00:32:01

exploit that tragedy, subhanAllah.

00:32:02--> 00:32:03

So it's a in a way, I'm doing

00:32:03--> 00:32:05

that by ensuring that it's women who are

00:32:05--> 00:32:07

delivering aid to other women and supporting inshallah.

00:32:07--> 00:32:10

So it's it's a wonderful charity. I'm really,

00:32:10--> 00:32:12

really honored to support them. And we are

00:32:12--> 00:32:13

here to talk to you. Of course, it

00:32:13--> 00:32:15

comes as no surprise about,

00:32:15--> 00:32:16

Gaza.

00:32:16--> 00:32:17

And, you know, subhanallah,

00:32:20--> 00:32:22

sis Yasmin has been talking to you about

00:32:22--> 00:32:22

truthfulness.

00:32:23--> 00:32:25

And so I feel like it's pertinent then

00:32:25--> 00:32:26

that this particular

00:32:27--> 00:32:30

session now is I I also pull on

00:32:30--> 00:32:32

the the truth and speak with truth.

00:32:33--> 00:32:35

And I think it comes as no surprise

00:32:35--> 00:32:37

that, you know, for the last 6 months,

00:32:37--> 00:32:40

we have watched in horror as bombs after

00:32:40--> 00:32:41

bombs after bomb has dropped on Gaza.

00:32:42--> 00:32:44

We've watched as lifeless body after lifeless body

00:32:44--> 00:32:46

has been pulled out of the rubble, as

00:32:46--> 00:32:48

child after child has been murdered.

00:32:48--> 00:32:51

SubhanAllah, we have watched as more than 35,000

00:32:52--> 00:32:54

innocent lives have been taken, and that's just

00:32:54--> 00:32:56

what's been reported and recorded.

00:32:56--> 00:32:57

We've seen

00:32:57--> 00:32:59

statistics come through from Gaza.

00:33:00--> 00:33:02

I can't believe people here are doing the

00:33:02--> 00:33:03

maths for this, but it's true that this

00:33:03--> 00:33:04

is the truth.

00:33:04--> 00:33:07

2 mothers are killed every hour, and a

00:33:07--> 00:33:09

child is killed every 6 minutes in Gaza.

00:33:09--> 00:33:10

This is the reality.

00:33:11--> 00:33:12

But it's also true

00:33:13--> 00:33:14

that for all of the souls that have

00:33:14--> 00:33:15

been wrongfully

00:33:15--> 00:33:17

killed and taken from this world,

00:33:18--> 00:33:20

they're gonna be dipped into Jannah. And then

00:33:20--> 00:33:22

when they pull back out, they're gonna be

00:33:22--> 00:33:23

asked, did you suffer in the world? And

00:33:23--> 00:33:25

they're not even gonna recall what suffering was.

00:33:25--> 00:33:27

And that's what we hold on to. And

00:33:27--> 00:33:29

that's what our brothers and sisters in Gaza

00:33:29--> 00:33:30

hold on to when they

00:33:31--> 00:33:33

it is their loss more than it's our

00:33:33--> 00:33:35

loss. It's their loss more immediately. And they

00:33:35--> 00:33:35

still say,

00:33:39--> 00:33:39

They still

00:33:40--> 00:33:41

say And so we should learn from our

00:33:41--> 00:33:44

brothers and sisters when they are losing their

00:33:44--> 00:33:46

loved ones. Entire families being wiped off the

00:33:46--> 00:33:48

civil register, and they still say, alhamdulillah, we

00:33:48--> 00:33:51

should learn from them. But it's also true

00:33:51--> 00:33:52

that for all of those lives that are

00:33:52--> 00:33:53

being lost

00:33:54--> 00:33:56

and our hearts are bleeding for them, there

00:33:56--> 00:33:59

are still 2,000,000 people in Gaza right now

00:33:59--> 00:34:02

as we speak who need our action, who

00:34:02--> 00:34:04

need our love, who need our concern and

00:34:04--> 00:34:04

our compassion.

00:34:05--> 00:34:07

And they need us to give them our

00:34:07--> 00:34:10

best. Not our least, not our something. They

00:34:10--> 00:34:12

need us to give our best. SubhanAllah.

00:34:13--> 00:34:15

Now at the moment in Gaza, right now,

00:34:15--> 00:34:16

as we speak, 1 in 3 people in

00:34:16--> 00:34:17

Gaza

00:34:17--> 00:34:18

is starving.

00:34:19--> 00:34:20

1 in 3 people in Gaza is going

00:34:20--> 00:34:21

without food.

00:34:22--> 00:34:24

After 6 months of this systematic withholding of

00:34:24--> 00:34:27

food, they are now being systematically killed. And

00:34:27--> 00:34:29

alarm bells are ringing all around the world,

00:34:29--> 00:34:31

subhanAllah. Alarm bells are ringing. All the

00:34:31--> 00:34:32

the the famine,

00:34:33--> 00:34:36

watch, societies and and organizations are ringing an

00:34:36--> 00:34:36

alarm

00:34:37--> 00:34:39

saying, if something isn't done,

00:34:40--> 00:34:42

this that this scale is gonna tip, and

00:34:42--> 00:34:44

we're gonna start seeing catastrophic

00:34:45--> 00:34:47

numbers of death. We're talking, like, up to

00:34:47--> 00:34:50

200 deaths per day because of starvation.

00:34:50--> 00:34:53

So when I say that when we are

00:34:53--> 00:34:55

asking you to donate, to give food to

00:34:55--> 00:34:57

the brothers and sisters in Gaza, to our

00:34:57--> 00:34:58

mothers and our children in Gaza, you are

00:34:58--> 00:35:01

preventing a catastrophe. You are keeping people alive.

00:35:02--> 00:35:04

Unfortunately, right now,

00:35:04--> 00:35:05

we we know the situation is very, very

00:35:05--> 00:35:06

difficult.

00:35:06--> 00:35:09

But what forgotten women are doing is actually

00:35:09--> 00:35:11

being able to give aid in a very

00:35:11--> 00:35:13

dignified way. You've seen that aid distribution. And

00:35:13--> 00:35:15

if you haven't, I I urge you to

00:35:15--> 00:35:16

go and look at them. There are aid

00:35:16--> 00:35:19

distributions happening, and the trucks are coming. And

00:35:19--> 00:35:21

it's a throng of people, masses of brothers

00:35:21--> 00:35:23

who are trying and fighting

00:35:23--> 00:35:24

in their desperation

00:35:24--> 00:35:27

to get the aid. Now imagine your sisters

00:35:27--> 00:35:28

in Gaza. How are they supposed to try

00:35:28--> 00:35:31

and make their way through that thronger people

00:35:31--> 00:35:32

and come away with aid? How are the

00:35:32--> 00:35:34

children supposed to do that?

00:35:35--> 00:35:37

It's un it's unrealistic to expect them to

00:35:37--> 00:35:39

be successful in those situations. It's not it's

00:35:39--> 00:35:41

really it really is. Forgotten women are actually

00:35:41--> 00:35:44

giving aid directly to our brothers and sisters

00:35:44--> 00:35:46

and our mothers and our children.

00:35:46--> 00:35:48

Is putting it in their hands. And this

00:35:48--> 00:35:49

is a pack that's not gonna last for

00:35:49--> 00:35:52

one day. It's not gonna be like one

00:35:52--> 00:35:53

hot meal distribution, which is fine to do.

00:35:53--> 00:35:55

It's good to do the hot meal distributions.

00:35:55--> 00:35:57

But what about a food pack? That means

00:35:57--> 00:35:58

that that brother and sister,

00:35:59--> 00:36:01

the mother, child in their tent who has

00:36:01--> 00:36:03

been displaced multiple times over

00:36:03--> 00:36:05

is able to eat food for an entire

00:36:05--> 00:36:06

month.

00:36:06--> 00:36:09

The pack that forgotten women are sharing, it

00:36:09--> 00:36:11

is incredible. It's got food in it. It's

00:36:11--> 00:36:14

got water within that. It's also got hygiene

00:36:14--> 00:36:15

kits to make sure that at

00:36:16--> 00:36:17

the moment in the camps, in the refugee

00:36:17--> 00:36:19

centers, in the schools, in the shelters,

00:36:20--> 00:36:23

disease is literally spreading like wildfire. So these

00:36:23--> 00:36:25

hygiene kits are crucial to per keep disease

00:36:25--> 00:36:27

at bay and make sure people are still

00:36:27--> 00:36:29

able to keep themselves clean.

00:36:30--> 00:36:31

And then there's the dignity kits. And for

00:36:31--> 00:36:33

our sisters on this call,

00:36:34--> 00:36:36

imagine 6 months without having the dignity kits

00:36:36--> 00:36:38

that you need when you go through your

00:36:38--> 00:36:39

time of the month. Our sisters are using

00:36:39--> 00:36:40

tent scraps.

00:36:41--> 00:36:42

They are wading out into the sea to

00:36:42--> 00:36:44

wash themselves. You can give them that, and

00:36:44--> 00:36:46

it's all into one combined pack. So forgotten

00:36:46--> 00:36:49

women are doing this across the board in

00:36:49--> 00:36:49

in razza

00:36:50--> 00:36:52

They are working with the with women in

00:36:52--> 00:36:54

razza to make sure that this aid is

00:36:54--> 00:36:56

reaching sisters directly. And so our sisters are

00:36:56--> 00:36:58

given the dignity that they deserve. They are

00:36:58--> 00:36:59

given the aid that they deserve in a

00:36:59--> 00:37:02

most dignified way, and it will last a

00:37:02--> 00:37:04

very long time, Swan. It'll be at least

00:37:04--> 00:37:06

a month's worth of supplies. So for a

00:37:06--> 00:37:08

month, they have ease and they have comfort.

00:37:08--> 00:37:10

And, subhanallah, I've had people genuinely come to

00:37:10--> 00:37:13

me and say, well, how can you guarantee

00:37:13--> 00:37:15

that those people are even gonna be alive?

00:37:15--> 00:37:17

And it shocks me that people ask this

00:37:17--> 00:37:19

question. SubhanAllah. Life and death is in Allah's

00:37:19--> 00:37:22

hands. We are not in control of that.

00:37:22--> 00:37:23

But what I will say is

00:37:24--> 00:37:26

if it is written that those people

00:37:26--> 00:37:29

who receive that parcel are to pass away

00:37:29--> 00:37:30

the very next day

00:37:30--> 00:37:31

and they don't get to consume it for

00:37:31--> 00:37:34

a month, would you not prefer that in

00:37:34--> 00:37:35

their last moments on this earth,

00:37:36--> 00:37:38

they are met with our love and our

00:37:38--> 00:37:38

compassion

00:37:39--> 00:37:41

for them. That they got their last moments

00:37:42--> 00:37:44

on earth. They had a morsel of food

00:37:44--> 00:37:46

because their brother and their sister cared for

00:37:46--> 00:37:48

them. And when we go back to Allah,

00:37:48--> 00:37:49

because the death is gonna come for all

00:37:49--> 00:37:50

of us without doubt,

00:37:50--> 00:37:52

we are also gonna be questioned.

00:37:52--> 00:37:54

What did you do for your brothers and

00:37:54--> 00:37:55

sisters? And if you had fed them, you

00:37:55--> 00:37:57

would have found Allah. So I urge you

00:37:57--> 00:38:00

all please visit the website, make a donation.

00:38:00--> 00:38:02

Even if you've given, I pray and I

00:38:02--> 00:38:04

beg that you understand that right now, we

00:38:04--> 00:38:05

are seeing

00:38:07--> 00:38:08

a a a catastrophic

00:38:08--> 00:38:10

wave of inhumanity and cruelty

00:38:11--> 00:38:11

being

00:38:12--> 00:38:14

raw asunder upon our brothers and sisters in

00:38:14--> 00:38:15

Gaza.

00:38:15--> 00:38:17

And so it's incumbent upon us to be

00:38:17--> 00:38:19

a bigger wave of humanity, a bigger wave

00:38:19--> 00:38:20

of love, and a bigger wave of compassion,

00:38:20--> 00:38:22

and to show our brothers and sisters that

00:38:22--> 00:38:24

no matter what happens in the world, our

00:38:24--> 00:38:27

love for them, our humanity for them is

00:38:27--> 00:38:28

still there with our brothers and sisters, and

00:38:28--> 00:38:30

we are not gonna allow them to just

00:38:30--> 00:38:32

pass away passively and just sit back and

00:38:32--> 00:38:34

watch the content that they put out there.

00:38:34--> 00:38:36

It's not just content. It's there because they

00:38:36--> 00:38:38

want us to act. So please act. We've

00:38:38--> 00:38:39

only got a few more days of this

00:38:39--> 00:38:41

blessed month. Could tonight could be the night

00:38:41--> 00:38:43

of power. What you do today could be

00:38:43--> 00:38:45

something that is multiplied as if you've done

00:38:45--> 00:38:47

it for 80 years. And what could be

00:38:47--> 00:38:49

better than being there at the time of

00:38:49--> 00:38:51

need for your brothers and sisters? Allah says

00:38:51--> 00:38:53

I am with the brothers not just he

00:38:53--> 00:38:55

is with the the Muslim as numbers they

00:38:55--> 00:38:56

are with their brother and sister in their

00:38:56--> 00:38:58

time of need. So if you want Ar

00:38:58--> 00:38:59

Rahman, and if you want Ar Rahman, and

00:38:59--> 00:39:01

if you want Al Kareem, and if you

00:39:01--> 00:39:03

want Abu Dhud, be that for your brothers

00:39:03--> 00:39:04

and sisters. Our prophet

00:39:05--> 00:39:05

was

00:39:06--> 00:39:08

the mercy to mankind. That's who he came

00:39:08--> 00:39:10

to be. And as his followers, we also

00:39:10--> 00:39:11

have to be mercy to mankind. So let's

00:39:11--> 00:39:13

just embody our mercy inshallah.

00:39:14--> 00:39:15

Eid's coming up. Make a sacrifice for your

00:39:15--> 00:39:17

Eid gifts for your loved ones and ensure

00:39:17--> 00:39:19

that your brothers and sisters are eating rather

00:39:19--> 00:39:20

than starving to death. You may have a

00:39:20--> 00:39:22

holiday plan for this summer.

00:39:23--> 00:39:26

Sacrifice your holiday. The greater your sacrifice will

00:39:26--> 00:39:28

lie. The greater your sacrifice, the greater your

00:39:28--> 00:39:30

reward will be. And this is what Allah

00:39:30--> 00:39:31

is testing us with. When it comes to

00:39:31--> 00:39:32

truthfulness,

00:39:32--> 00:39:34

when it comes to our our is, are

00:39:34--> 00:39:36

you truthful when you say in a 1000,

00:39:36--> 00:39:38

in our millions, we're all Palestinians. Because if

00:39:38--> 00:39:40

you're truly in your your 1,000 and your

00:39:40--> 00:39:42

1,000,000, you're with your Palestinian brothers and sisters,

00:39:42--> 00:39:44

you will sacrifice everything that you've got for

00:39:44--> 00:39:46

our brothers and sisters right now who need

00:39:46--> 00:39:48

us. And this food pack is not just

00:39:48--> 00:39:49

a food pack. Believe me, it is a

00:39:49--> 00:39:52

lifeline that is keeping that that balance scale

00:39:53--> 00:39:55

at bay. It is ensuring that that tail

00:39:55--> 00:39:57

that scale does not tip. And if we

00:39:57--> 00:39:59

stop, then the scale will tip down. And

00:39:59--> 00:40:01

unfortunately, we are gonna see those catastrophic

00:40:01--> 00:40:02

levels

00:40:02--> 00:40:03

of,

00:40:04--> 00:40:06

200 deaths per day. That's more than what

00:40:06--> 00:40:08

we've been seeing already, his partner. So the

00:40:08--> 00:40:10

time is now. We have to act. We've

00:40:10--> 00:40:11

only got a few more days left of

00:40:11--> 00:40:13

this blessed month. So what we do now

00:40:13--> 00:40:14

in our actions, insha'Allah,

00:40:14--> 00:40:16

will be multiplied. And if we truly believe

00:40:16--> 00:40:18

that the night of power is in these

00:40:18--> 00:40:19

nights, why not seek it in the best

00:40:19--> 00:40:22

way possible, insha'Allah? So I pray, insha'Allah, that

00:40:22--> 00:40:23

you do as best as you can and

00:40:23--> 00:40:25

give as much as you can and give

00:40:25--> 00:40:26

it with the best of intentions that you

00:40:26--> 00:40:27

Allah,

00:40:27--> 00:40:29

whatever I give of my love, of my

00:40:29--> 00:40:31

compassion, of my generosity, I'm never gonna outdo

00:40:31--> 00:40:33

you. So whatever I give today, I know

00:40:33--> 00:40:35

that you're gonna show it back to me

00:40:35--> 00:40:35

manyfold.

00:40:36--> 00:40:37

So, yes, you can give your zakat to

00:40:37--> 00:40:39

this. It's not a problem. You can give

00:40:39--> 00:40:40

your zakat. This is a zakat that will

00:40:40--> 00:40:42

it's going directly into the hands of our

00:40:42--> 00:40:44

brothers and sisters inshallah. So I believe I

00:40:44--> 00:40:46

haven't had a lot of time. I've only

00:40:46--> 00:40:47

had about 10 minutes,

00:40:47--> 00:40:49

but I've also know for a fact, and

00:40:49--> 00:40:51

I've I've seen this many times over, it

00:40:51--> 00:40:52

only takes a moment for your hearts to

00:40:52--> 00:40:54

become softened and to respond. So even if

00:40:54--> 00:40:56

I've only had 10 minutes, I truly believe

00:40:56--> 00:40:58

10 minutes is more than enough time for

00:40:58--> 00:41:00

the the words to hit your heart and

00:41:00--> 00:41:02

for Allah to unlock the hearts because it's

00:41:02--> 00:41:03

not my words that are gonna do it.

00:41:03--> 00:41:05

So I pray Allah unlocks your hearts and

00:41:05--> 00:41:07

he makes you give as much as possible

00:41:07--> 00:41:09

for our brothers and sisters, even if you've

00:41:09--> 00:41:11

given many times over over the last 6

00:41:11--> 00:41:13

months. This is the point where you're being

00:41:13--> 00:41:15

tested for your truthfulness. Yes. You've given before,

00:41:15--> 00:41:17

but can you make your answer better? And

00:41:17--> 00:41:19

the answer is always, yes, you can. So

00:41:19--> 00:41:21

please give as much as you can and,

00:41:21--> 00:41:23

commit yourself. Because believe you me, even if

00:41:23--> 00:41:25

everything was to end tomorrow,

00:41:26--> 00:41:27

we need to be with our brothers and

00:41:27--> 00:41:29

sisters long after all this has ended. We

00:41:29--> 00:41:31

need to be with them for decades to

00:41:31--> 00:41:32

come to help them rebuild their lives.

00:41:37--> 00:41:39

Sister Sadia, it's always such a pleasure to

00:41:39--> 00:41:41

benefit from you, from your reminders, and we're

00:41:41--> 00:41:42

tying that into the what we've been learning

00:41:42--> 00:41:44

and what we've been trying to practice throughout

00:41:44--> 00:41:46

this entire month. This is you said it

00:41:46--> 00:41:47

best. This is a test of our sincerity

00:41:47--> 00:41:49

and our efforts and our truthfulness towards the

00:41:49--> 00:41:51

peace of people of Wazuh. To everyone who's

00:41:51--> 00:41:53

supporting here in the chat. Sadia, we look

00:41:53--> 00:41:54

forward to seeing you inshallah again in the

00:41:54--> 00:41:56

future. May Allah make it accepted and may

00:41:56--> 00:41:58

Allah make it, make your maximize your efforts.

00:42:00--> 00:42:03

That was Shisadia Sajid from Forgotten Women. As

00:42:03--> 00:42:04

you guys know, Forgotten Women is one of

00:42:04--> 00:42:06

our UK partners, our charity partners, and you

00:42:06--> 00:42:08

guys have heard from her own words the

00:42:08--> 00:42:10

impact that they're having on the ground in

00:42:10--> 00:42:12

Gaza. Please do take that link. I know

00:42:12--> 00:42:14

Facelina's dropping it and the chat keeps moving,

00:42:14--> 00:42:16

but keep looking for it. It's launchgooddot

00:42:16--> 00:42:17

comforward/amaglibdashfw.

00:42:18--> 00:42:21

It's in the YouTube description as well. And

00:42:21--> 00:42:23

Masha' lives has just been refreshing as we've

00:42:23--> 00:42:24

been in this session and seeing the impact

00:42:24--> 00:42:26

that you guys are making. But I know

00:42:26--> 00:42:29

with 339 of us here on Zoom with

00:42:29--> 00:42:30

almost, I think a 100 something of us

00:42:30--> 00:42:33

on YouTube as always, There's so much we

00:42:33--> 00:42:34

can do as a community, and as Adia

00:42:34--> 00:42:37

said, if you've given, like, there is not

00:42:37--> 00:42:39

the just keep giving as much until you're

00:42:39--> 00:42:40

depleted, honestly,

00:42:40--> 00:42:42

at this point because there's nothing that no

00:42:42--> 00:42:43

no amount of suffering that we're gonna experience

00:42:44--> 00:42:45

that's gonna equate to anything of the amount

00:42:45--> 00:42:47

of suffering that the people in Palestine are

00:42:47--> 00:42:49

are experiencing. And I love that this is

00:42:49--> 00:42:51

something that gives them some dignity for some

00:42:51--> 00:42:53

time. That gives them some reprieve because running

00:42:53--> 00:42:55

around for food every day, not knowing when

00:42:55--> 00:42:57

your next meal is gonna come from, that's

00:42:57--> 00:42:59

another form of psychological torture. So let's give

00:42:59--> 00:43:01

them some relief. Let's give them some full

00:43:01--> 00:43:04

bellies, some peace of mind, some take away

00:43:04--> 00:43:06

some of that fear from that that the

00:43:06--> 00:43:08

horror that they've been experiencing and reduce that,

00:43:08--> 00:43:10

reduce their suffering, reduce their fear, reduce their

00:43:10--> 00:43:12

hunger, reduce their anxiety, and let us be

00:43:12--> 00:43:13

the source of that so that at least

00:43:13--> 00:43:15

we can say that we did something that

00:43:15--> 00:43:17

we were, we heard this, the call that

00:43:17--> 00:43:19

we were reminded that we saw what was

00:43:19--> 00:43:21

happening and that we were not silent and

00:43:21--> 00:43:22

that we spoke up or that, and that

00:43:22--> 00:43:24

not only we spoke up and we acted.

00:43:24--> 00:43:25

So yes, we're at 3,000

00:43:25--> 00:43:27

now. I don't know what currencies that's in.

00:43:27--> 00:43:29

I know it's based on British pound, but

00:43:29--> 00:43:31

keep going, keep pushing. Let's hit that goal

00:43:31--> 00:43:34

today and then some and keep keep supporting

00:43:34--> 00:43:36

because this is food. This is hunger. This

00:43:36--> 00:43:39

is the the basics of human existence. We

00:43:39--> 00:43:40

cannot not answer that call.

00:43:41--> 00:43:43

So, please do so and keep doing so

00:43:43--> 00:43:45

as we move on to the Q and

00:43:45--> 00:43:46

A portion of this talk and we'll keep

00:43:46--> 00:43:47

checking in to see where we're at towards

00:43:47--> 00:43:49

their goal. And again once the goal is

00:43:49--> 00:43:51

hit that doesn't mean the hunger eliminates

00:43:52--> 00:43:54

so keep keep keep keep, you know supporting

00:43:54--> 00:43:56

inshallah even after that. With that said I

00:43:56--> 00:43:57

know a lot of you have sent in

00:43:57--> 00:43:59

questions so so we will make sure that

00:43:59--> 00:44:00

we do some q and a today before

00:44:00--> 00:44:02

we get a chance to reflect on today's

00:44:02--> 00:44:04

beautiful topic. But I'm gonna bring Usaida Yasmin

00:44:04--> 00:44:07

back inshallah for this portion. Welcome back, Usaida.

00:44:07--> 00:44:08

I hope that you have benefited as well

00:44:08--> 00:44:09

from that. That was such a beautiful tie

00:44:09--> 00:44:11

in to the talk that you were giving.

00:44:11--> 00:44:13

But I'm trying to to to squeeze in

00:44:13--> 00:44:14

as many questions as we can in this

00:44:14--> 00:44:16

limited time that we have. So the first

00:44:16--> 00:44:18

question that I have received is, how do

00:44:18--> 00:44:20

we become truthful to Allah about where we're

00:44:20--> 00:44:22

at when we're not sure about where we

00:44:22--> 00:44:24

stand in our journey, especially if our iman

00:44:24--> 00:44:25

fluctuates or if we go up and down

00:44:25--> 00:44:27

with good and bad deeds?

00:44:28--> 00:44:29

Well, miss Milla,

00:44:30--> 00:44:31

the the reality,

00:44:32--> 00:44:34

is that we all fluctuate in our iman,

00:44:34--> 00:44:36

and all of our deeds

00:44:36--> 00:44:38

fluctuate. You know, there is the the famous

00:44:38--> 00:44:40

story where the companion,

00:44:41--> 00:44:43

Abu Bakr Radiallahu An and Tanzila came to

00:44:43--> 00:44:44

the prophet

00:44:45--> 00:44:47

and and they said, we've become hypocrites and

00:44:47--> 00:44:48

they were,

00:44:48--> 00:44:50

you know, they were they were panicking because

00:44:50--> 00:44:52

why? He said, why are you saying that?

00:44:52--> 00:44:54

He said, because they said, because when we

00:44:54--> 00:44:55

are with you, oh, Rasulullah,

00:44:56--> 00:44:58

it's as if we see paradise

00:44:58--> 00:45:00

and hellfire with our eyes. But then when

00:45:00--> 00:45:02

we go back to our families, you know,

00:45:02--> 00:45:04

we're not in the same state. And the

00:45:04--> 00:45:04

prophet

00:45:05--> 00:45:06

said,

00:45:06--> 00:45:08

if if you have the same iman, if

00:45:08--> 00:45:10

you were the same in the exact same

00:45:10--> 00:45:11

state as you were,

00:45:11--> 00:45:12

you know, when you're with me as you

00:45:12--> 00:45:14

are, when you're not, when you're with your

00:45:14--> 00:45:17

families, then the angels would shake hands with

00:45:17--> 00:45:18

you in the streets.

00:45:18--> 00:45:20

So he's teaching us that part of being

00:45:20--> 00:45:22

human, it would mean you're an angel. Right?

00:45:22--> 00:45:23

You're just

00:45:23--> 00:45:25

that steady state. So part of being human

00:45:25--> 00:45:26

is that

00:45:27--> 00:45:28

and falls and so all of us have

00:45:28--> 00:45:29

that.

00:45:29--> 00:45:33

But truthfulness is about being honest about who

00:45:33--> 00:45:35

we are, what are our flaws, you know,

00:45:35--> 00:45:37

what are the things that we really really

00:45:37--> 00:45:38

want.

00:45:38--> 00:45:39

Right? Wanting

00:45:40--> 00:45:40

to do better.

00:45:41--> 00:45:42

Wanting to be better

00:45:43--> 00:45:44

And the truthfulness

00:45:44--> 00:45:47

of that the truthfulness of that desire

00:45:47--> 00:45:50

is gonna show up in your effort.

00:45:50--> 00:45:52

Right? It's like, you know, all these motivational

00:45:52--> 00:45:54

speakers who are like, you know, if you

00:45:54--> 00:45:55

really want it, it's

00:45:56--> 00:45:56

says,

00:45:56--> 00:45:57

you know,

00:45:57--> 00:46:00

I really wanna get in shape. I really

00:46:00--> 00:46:01

wanna get in shape.

00:46:02--> 00:46:04

But they never go to the gym. They

00:46:04--> 00:46:05

never eat healthy.

00:46:05--> 00:46:07

They, you know, they eat 12 donuts a

00:46:07--> 00:46:08

day. They you know,

00:46:09--> 00:46:11

saying that you really want to get into

00:46:11--> 00:46:11

shape,

00:46:12--> 00:46:13

that's not truthful

00:46:14--> 00:46:17

if it's not in any sense driving you

00:46:17--> 00:46:18

towards any action.

00:46:19--> 00:46:21

And so what it really is is about

00:46:21--> 00:46:21

just being

00:46:22--> 00:46:25

truthful about that desire and that want.

00:46:25--> 00:46:28

And with that truthfulness, even if we're lacking,

00:46:28--> 00:46:29

and we are all lacking, and again, that's

00:46:29--> 00:46:31

the lesson, we all go up and down.

00:46:31--> 00:46:33

Amen goes up and down and and deeds

00:46:33--> 00:46:34

go up and down.

00:46:34--> 00:46:36

But if we can just be truthful in

00:46:36--> 00:46:37

our desire

00:46:38--> 00:46:39

to be better and to be closer to

00:46:39--> 00:46:41

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and then be honest

00:46:42--> 00:46:44

about where we're at rather than trying to

00:46:44--> 00:46:45

sugarcoat it or,

00:46:46--> 00:46:47

reducing dissonance

00:46:47--> 00:46:49

basically by justifying,

00:46:50--> 00:46:52

you know, so a lot of people what

00:46:52--> 00:46:54

they'll do is, if I want a certain

00:46:54--> 00:46:54

thing

00:46:55--> 00:46:56

and it's haram,

00:46:57--> 00:47:00

instead of saying, I'm going to try my

00:47:00--> 00:47:03

best to resist my desire. Yes. And even

00:47:03--> 00:47:05

if I give into that, like, say someone

00:47:05--> 00:47:07

really loves alcohol

00:47:07--> 00:47:09

and they just love the way they feel

00:47:09--> 00:47:10

when they're, you know, when they're when they're

00:47:10--> 00:47:11

drunk or high.

00:47:12--> 00:47:14

And and, you know, they can either, you

00:47:14--> 00:47:16

know, and maybe they they they they fall

00:47:16--> 00:47:18

into that to that desire.

00:47:18--> 00:47:20

Well, they can either say,

00:47:21--> 00:47:22

you know what? I'm

00:47:22--> 00:47:25

I I had this weakness and I am

00:47:25--> 00:47:27

I know that it's wrong, but I know

00:47:27--> 00:47:28

that I know it's wrong and I know

00:47:28--> 00:47:30

that I'm that this is a weakness.

00:47:31--> 00:47:32

That person

00:47:32--> 00:47:35

is gonna be better off than the one

00:47:35--> 00:47:36

who says, you know what? Actually,

00:47:37--> 00:47:39

alcohol is not haram

00:47:39--> 00:47:41

because, you know and then they'll justify it

00:47:41--> 00:47:44

somewhere or another. Or you know what? Marijuana,

00:47:44--> 00:47:47

you know, like so the the idea here

00:47:47--> 00:47:50

is that are we able to be honest

00:47:50--> 00:47:52

about our struggles?

00:47:52--> 00:47:53

We all have struggles,

00:47:54--> 00:47:56

but are we truthful about our struggles or

00:47:56--> 00:47:58

do we try to make Islam

00:47:59--> 00:48:00

be subservient

00:48:01--> 00:48:03

to our desires? Do we try to change

00:48:03--> 00:48:04

and twist

00:48:05--> 00:48:06

the laws of Allah?

00:48:06--> 00:48:08

You know, who is it halal to be

00:48:08--> 00:48:10

in a relationship with? Who is it haram

00:48:10--> 00:48:11

to be in a relationship

00:48:12--> 00:48:12

with?

00:48:13--> 00:48:16

And it's not determined by my desires.

00:48:16--> 00:48:19

If I desire something, it doesn't make it

00:48:19--> 00:48:21

right. And so being able to,

00:48:23--> 00:48:25

to submit to what Allah says

00:48:26--> 00:48:28

over what my nafs says.

00:48:30--> 00:48:30

Jazakamullah.

00:48:31--> 00:48:33

Beautiful response. The next question that I have

00:48:33--> 00:48:35

submitted here, if I can pull it up,

00:48:35--> 00:48:35

is,

00:48:35--> 00:48:37

how do we how to practice not getting

00:48:37--> 00:48:40

impressed by your own good deeds and that

00:48:40--> 00:48:41

you do in seclusion?

00:48:42--> 00:48:43

So I have a

00:48:43--> 00:48:45

what I think is is a good way

00:48:46--> 00:48:48

to to not be impressed by our own

00:48:48--> 00:48:49

good deeds,

00:48:49--> 00:48:51

and that is to recognize

00:48:52--> 00:48:56

who we are being compared with. So if

00:48:56--> 00:48:56

we imagine

00:48:58--> 00:49:00

so I think again, there's 2 there's

00:49:01--> 00:49:03

there are two sides of this. Right? There

00:49:03--> 00:49:06

are 2 dangerous extremes here. Right?

00:49:06--> 00:49:09

One dangerous extreme is which is to be

00:49:09--> 00:49:10

impressed with myself.

00:49:12--> 00:49:13

Another dangerous extreme

00:49:13--> 00:49:14

is hopelessness

00:49:15--> 00:49:16

and despair.

00:49:16--> 00:49:18

Like, I'll never be good enough. Like, I

00:49:18--> 00:49:20

can never do this, so I'm just gonna

00:49:20--> 00:49:23

give up. Right? 2 very dangerous extremes. Either

00:49:24--> 00:49:25

I can never get there,

00:49:25--> 00:49:27

you know, these people are so much better

00:49:27--> 00:49:29

than me, there's nothing I can do, there's

00:49:29--> 00:49:30

no way, so I give up.

00:49:31--> 00:49:33

Or the other side is, look at me,

00:49:33--> 00:49:35

man. Like, I am I'm killing it with

00:49:35--> 00:49:37

my PM. I'm killing it with my Quran.

00:49:37--> 00:49:39

I'm killing it with my hijab. Like, I'm

00:49:39--> 00:49:41

and then you start to become arrogant.

00:49:42--> 00:49:42

Now,

00:49:42--> 00:49:44

I think that the cure

00:49:45--> 00:49:45

to

00:49:46--> 00:49:48

to what you're asking which is being impressed

00:49:48--> 00:49:49

with oneself

00:49:49--> 00:49:52

is to recognize if you think about Allah

00:49:52--> 00:49:53

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and imagine

00:49:54--> 00:49:57

who is standing at the door of Allah

00:49:57--> 00:49:58

with us,

00:49:58--> 00:50:00

Who is offering? So if we imagine that

00:50:00--> 00:50:01

we are standing

00:50:02--> 00:50:04

in front of Allah offering our deeds to

00:50:04--> 00:50:05

him.

00:50:05--> 00:50:08

Think of what I am offering Allah. So

00:50:08--> 00:50:09

say

00:50:09--> 00:50:11

say I'm killing it with my fa'am. Alright?

00:50:11--> 00:50:13

I I stood up and I prayed for

00:50:13--> 00:50:15

x amount of time. I I read the

00:50:15--> 00:50:18

Quran. I finished the Quran. Okay. So I'm

00:50:18--> 00:50:20

offering Allah this. This is my deed, You

00:50:20--> 00:50:20

Allah.

00:50:21--> 00:50:23

But now think of who's standing next to

00:50:23--> 00:50:23

me.

00:50:24--> 00:50:25

Well, I got next to me, I got

00:50:25--> 00:50:27

prophets, I got martyrs, I got angels.

00:50:28--> 00:50:30

Like like, angels,

00:50:30--> 00:50:31

they worship Allah

00:50:32--> 00:50:34

so much from the be that there are

00:50:34--> 00:50:36

angels from the beginning of time till the

00:50:36--> 00:50:37

end of time just in sajdah.

00:50:38--> 00:50:40

Beginning of time till the end of time,

00:50:41--> 00:50:42

just in sajda.

00:50:43--> 00:50:43

Like,

00:50:43--> 00:50:46

I mean, how much sajda can I do?

00:50:46--> 00:50:47

And yet,

00:50:48--> 00:50:50

when they when, you know, the end of

00:50:50--> 00:50:50

time comes,

00:50:51--> 00:50:54

that angel who was in sajdah from the

00:50:54--> 00:50:56

beginning of time till the end of time

00:50:56--> 00:50:56

says,

00:50:57--> 00:50:59

I have not worshiped you enough, You Allah.

00:50:59--> 00:51:00

This is actually not enough.

00:51:01--> 00:51:04

So, now, taking that perspective and now bring

00:51:04--> 00:51:06

it to what I am doing,

00:51:07--> 00:51:09

no matter how amazing I might think I

00:51:09--> 00:51:09

am,

00:51:10--> 00:51:11

it does not compare

00:51:12--> 00:51:12

to

00:51:13--> 00:51:15

an angel who is in sajdah from the

00:51:15--> 00:51:17

beginning of time till the end of time

00:51:17--> 00:51:18

or to a prophet

00:51:18--> 00:51:21

or to the martyrs or to the, you

00:51:21--> 00:51:22

know, the the shuhada and the and the

00:51:22--> 00:51:23

auliya. So,

00:51:25--> 00:51:27

that's one way to kind of humble myself,

00:51:27--> 00:51:28

I think.

00:51:28--> 00:51:29

Now,

00:51:29--> 00:51:30

again,

00:51:31--> 00:51:32

it we can end up going to the

00:51:32--> 00:51:35

other extreme and being like, what chance do

00:51:35--> 00:51:37

I have? Like, who am I? I'm not

00:51:37--> 00:51:39

an angel. I'm not a prophet.

00:51:39--> 00:51:40

I'm not,

00:51:40--> 00:51:43

a Wendy. I'm just I'm just Yasmin. Like,

00:51:43--> 00:51:44

I'm just me.

00:51:45--> 00:51:45

So what

00:51:46--> 00:51:48

hope do I have? Right? And I think

00:51:48--> 00:51:49

the cure to that

00:51:50--> 00:51:53

is something different. Right? So the cure to

00:51:53--> 00:51:54

that type of hopelessness

00:51:55--> 00:51:55

is

00:51:56--> 00:51:57

not to look at

00:51:58--> 00:51:59

what you're offering

00:51:59--> 00:52:02

because what you're offering will never be enough.

00:52:02--> 00:52:05

I repeat, the angel who was in sajdah

00:52:05--> 00:52:06

from the beginning of time till the end

00:52:06--> 00:52:08

of time is saying, we have not worshiped

00:52:08--> 00:52:08

you enough.

00:52:11--> 00:52:12

Like you can't actually

00:52:12--> 00:52:14

give Allah what he deserves. It's impossible

00:52:15--> 00:52:17

because he's infinite and I'm finite and I'm

00:52:17--> 00:52:18

limited.

00:52:18--> 00:52:21

And so instead of focusing on the little

00:52:22--> 00:52:25

broken piece of pottery that I am offering

00:52:25--> 00:52:25

Allah,

00:52:26--> 00:52:28

instead of focusing on that,

00:52:28--> 00:52:30

I focus on the generosity

00:52:31--> 00:52:32

and the mercy

00:52:32--> 00:52:36

and the love and the and and the

00:52:36--> 00:52:39

desire to give of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:52:39--> 00:52:41

So it's shifting the focus.

00:52:41--> 00:52:43

When I'm looking at my own deeds

00:52:44--> 00:52:45

when I'm looking at my own deeds,

00:52:46--> 00:52:48

it is to shift the focus

00:52:48--> 00:52:51

to what Allah deserves and re recognizing there's

00:52:51--> 00:52:53

no way that what I am giving is

00:52:53--> 00:52:56

anything to be impressed with myself about.

00:52:57--> 00:53:00

But when I'm feeling like, oh my gosh,

00:53:00--> 00:53:00

like,

00:53:01--> 00:53:03

nothing I do will be enough, so then

00:53:03--> 00:53:04

I fall into despair.

00:53:05--> 00:53:07

Then you have to also shift the focus,

00:53:07--> 00:53:09

not from your deeds, but to the generosity

00:53:10--> 00:53:11

and the mercy of Allah

00:53:12--> 00:53:13

The one who

00:53:14--> 00:53:16

is just listening to this hadith

00:53:17--> 00:53:19

where it talks about what pleases Allah

00:53:19--> 00:53:21

How do we please Allah? How do we

00:53:21--> 00:53:22

please Allah? We're thinking like, what can I

00:53:22--> 00:53:25

do? And this is a hadith that says

00:53:25--> 00:53:26

that using

00:53:27--> 00:53:27

a

00:53:28--> 00:53:30

a like, you know, like a little wooden

00:53:30--> 00:53:31

toothbrush,

00:53:31--> 00:53:34

it it it freshens your your mouth, and

00:53:34--> 00:53:35

it pleases Allah.

00:53:36--> 00:53:38

Something as small as a can please Allah

00:53:38--> 00:53:39

subhanahu wa ta'ala. Why?

00:53:40--> 00:53:42

Not because it's a big action, but because

00:53:42--> 00:53:44

Allah is so generous and Allah is so

00:53:44--> 00:53:45

merciful.

00:53:45--> 00:53:48

And Allah is a shakur. Allah is appreciative

00:53:49--> 00:53:52

of even the most minute action that is

00:53:52--> 00:53:55

done for his sake and bringing it full

00:53:55--> 00:53:56

circle with

00:53:56--> 00:53:58

Ikhlas, sincerity,

00:53:58--> 00:54:00

and with suk. And when you do an

00:54:00--> 00:54:02

action with suk and sincerity,

00:54:03--> 00:54:05

if you do an action with with your

00:54:05--> 00:54:06

heart in the right place,

00:54:06--> 00:54:08

even a tiny action,

00:54:08--> 00:54:10

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala can multiply it and

00:54:10--> 00:54:12

it can it can please

00:54:12--> 00:54:14

Allah. Not because the action is amazing, not

00:54:14--> 00:54:16

because you're amazing, not because I'm amazing, but

00:54:16--> 00:54:19

because Allah is amazing. And because Allah subhanahu

00:54:19--> 00:54:21

wa ta'ala is the most generous

00:54:21--> 00:54:23

and he is Al Wahab, he loves to

00:54:23--> 00:54:25

give gifts. He he wants to give us

00:54:26--> 00:54:28

forgiveness. He wants to give us Jannah. You

00:54:28--> 00:54:31

know, when we talk about seeking what Allah

00:54:31--> 00:54:31

wants

00:54:31--> 00:54:32

and,

00:54:35--> 00:54:37

that I wish, I wish, I I want,

00:54:37--> 00:54:38

I desire

00:54:38--> 00:54:41

that I would not desire except what he

00:54:41--> 00:54:41

wants.

00:54:42--> 00:54:44

What does he want? Well, Allah tells us

00:54:44--> 00:54:45

in the Quran what he wants.

00:54:46--> 00:54:48

He he wants to he Allah subhanahu wa

00:54:48--> 00:54:49

ta'ala

00:54:50--> 00:54:51

says,

00:54:51--> 00:54:53

that Allah wants for you is

00:54:56--> 00:54:58

and he does not want for you difficulty.

00:54:59--> 00:55:01

So what does Allah want from us?

00:55:02--> 00:55:04

In another ayah, it says, we were told

00:55:04--> 00:55:04

that

00:55:07--> 00:55:07

that Allah

00:55:08--> 00:55:11

wants to make things easy on you.

00:55:14--> 00:55:17

That that that mankind was created weak. So

00:55:17--> 00:55:19

if we look at what Allah wants, Allah

00:55:19--> 00:55:21

wants ease for us. Allah wants to forgive

00:55:21--> 00:55:21

us.

00:55:22--> 00:55:24

Allah wants to make things easy on us.

00:55:27--> 00:55:30

That Allah actually wants to turn to us

00:55:30--> 00:55:32

and forgive us so that we'll turn to

00:55:32--> 00:55:33

him and seek his forgiveness.

00:55:33--> 00:55:35

So this is what Allah wants from us.

00:55:37--> 00:55:39

That was such a I think the the

00:55:39--> 00:55:41

words in the chat can't even do justice.

00:55:41--> 00:55:43

That was such a recentering approach to Zaq

00:55:43--> 00:55:44

Malakher for giving us so much extra time

00:55:44--> 00:55:46

and being so thorough in your responses to

00:55:46--> 00:55:47

the questions. I know there were so many

00:55:47--> 00:55:49

other beautiful questions that came in, but just

00:55:49--> 00:55:51

for the the sake of time, we have

00:55:51--> 00:55:52

to keep it moving so that people get

00:55:52--> 00:55:55

a chance to inshallah today and fully benefit

00:55:55--> 00:55:57

from today's 22nd day of Ramadan 360. Jazak

00:55:57--> 00:55:59

Mo Khurrza. Once again, it's an honor as

00:55:59--> 00:56:01

always to have you back with the community,

00:56:01--> 00:56:04

back to recenter us, refocus us, especially right

00:56:04--> 00:56:05

you know, as we go into these blessed

00:56:05--> 00:56:07

final nights of Ramadan. May Allah accept from

00:56:07--> 00:56:09

you and your family, Ashish. And you know

00:56:09--> 00:56:11

you know, Hafsa, I wanna end with something

00:56:11--> 00:56:12

if possible.

00:56:12--> 00:56:15

So as I was listening to the, charity

00:56:15--> 00:56:16

appeal,

00:56:17--> 00:56:19

Hadith came to my mind that I think

00:56:19--> 00:56:19

is so relevant

00:56:20--> 00:56:22

to the appeal and everything that we just

00:56:22--> 00:56:25

spoke about. Okay. And that is it. One

00:56:25--> 00:56:27

of the 7 people who are shaded

00:56:27--> 00:56:30

in the shade of Allah, right? The shade

00:56:30--> 00:56:31

on the day of judgment where there is

00:56:31--> 00:56:33

no other shade except the shade of Allah

00:56:33--> 00:56:35

And and this is a very interesting description

00:56:35--> 00:56:37

which maybe many of us didn't understand. We

00:56:37--> 00:56:40

heard it. We didn't understand it. It says

00:56:40--> 00:56:40

a person

00:56:41--> 00:56:43

who gives charity so secretly

00:56:44--> 00:56:45

that his right hand

00:56:45--> 00:56:47

does not know what his left hand gave

00:56:47--> 00:56:49

or his left hand does not know what

00:56:49--> 00:56:51

his right hand gave. Now think about that

00:56:51--> 00:56:52

statement.

00:56:53--> 00:56:55

Your right hand and your left hand have

00:56:55--> 00:56:56

nothing to do with people.

00:56:57--> 00:56:59

It has everything to do with yourself.

00:56:59--> 00:57:00

That that

00:57:01--> 00:57:02

actually that description

00:57:03--> 00:57:04

is is describing.

00:57:05--> 00:57:07

It's describing what we were talking about now

00:57:08--> 00:57:09

that even the charity,

00:57:10--> 00:57:12

your right hand doesn't know what your left

00:57:12--> 00:57:13

hand gave. Meaning,

00:57:13--> 00:57:14

that you're not

00:57:15--> 00:57:17

impressed with yourself about your charity because you

00:57:17--> 00:57:19

don't even know what you gave. Like, you

00:57:19--> 00:57:21

gave it, but you're not watching what you're

00:57:21--> 00:57:22

giving

00:57:22--> 00:57:24

enough that your right hand doesn't know what

00:57:24--> 00:57:26

your left what your left hand gave. And,

00:57:26--> 00:57:29

SubhanAllah, is this thinking that one of these

00:57:29--> 00:57:32

7 people who are shaded in in Allah's

00:57:32--> 00:57:34

shade when there's no other shade Is this

00:57:34--> 00:57:37

description of a person who gives

00:57:39--> 00:57:39

like,

00:57:40--> 00:57:42

the word is it's it's shares that same

00:57:43--> 00:57:45

that same root of truthfulness. A person who

00:57:45--> 00:57:46

gives charity

00:57:47--> 00:57:50

so with so much truthfulness that they're not

00:57:50--> 00:57:51

they're they themselves

00:57:52--> 00:57:54

are not aware of what they themselves are

00:57:54--> 00:57:57

giving. So that there isn't that there isn't

00:57:57--> 00:57:58

that I'm impressed with what I've done.

00:57:59--> 00:58:00

Beautifully said.

00:58:01--> 00:58:03

Once again for that amazing reminder for being

00:58:03--> 00:58:05

part of this community once again. We'll see

00:58:05--> 00:58:06

you very soon online,

00:58:06--> 00:58:08

either through your courses or hopefully

00:58:08--> 00:58:10

in person as you're touring around the states

00:58:10--> 00:58:12

this summer with us. For now, take care.

00:58:17--> 00:58:20

That was Usada Yasmeemu Jahid for day number

00:58:20--> 00:58:22

22 of Ramadan 360,

00:58:22--> 00:58:24

and I'm glad that this session hit you

00:58:24--> 00:58:26

as much as it hit me. SubhanAllah,

00:58:26--> 00:58:28

there is just something different about Usaddah.

00:58:29--> 00:58:31

May Allah preserve her for us and allow

00:58:31--> 00:58:33

us to continue to benefit from her for

00:58:33--> 00:58:34

for years decades to come.

00:58:36--> 00:58:37

Yes. I know we want her to come

00:58:37--> 00:58:38

to every corner of the world, and I

00:58:38--> 00:58:39

love all the love that we have for

00:58:39--> 00:58:41

her, subhanallah, in the talk. And I hope

00:58:41--> 00:58:42

that you guys who've been here from the

00:58:42--> 00:58:44

beginning have benefited immensely from today's theme and

00:58:44--> 00:58:47

the actualization of that theme through our efforts

00:58:47--> 00:58:49

today with forgotten women. Once again, their links

00:58:49--> 00:58:51

have been dropped here in the chat. Please

00:58:51--> 00:58:52

make sure that you maximize

00:58:53--> 00:58:55

this massive reward of feeding the people Philistine

00:58:55--> 00:58:57

in these last blessed nights, especially those of

00:58:57--> 00:58:58

you who are in the UK right now

00:58:58--> 00:59:00

already in the 23rd night. Some of you

00:59:00--> 00:59:02

are finishing or have just finished your 23rd

00:59:02--> 00:59:03

night, and many of us are going into

00:59:03--> 00:59:03

it.

00:59:04--> 00:59:06

You guys have hit over 50% of the

00:59:06--> 00:59:07

goal already.

00:59:07--> 00:59:10

Please let's keep going. Please share. As some

00:59:10--> 00:59:11

some people said, if you don't have the

00:59:11--> 00:59:13

capacity to give right now and or you

00:59:13--> 00:59:15

you've given already multiple times, please just keep

00:59:15--> 00:59:17

sharing every time I refresh it. Masha'Allah, the

00:59:17--> 00:59:19

number ends up increasing. Let's hit at least

00:59:19--> 00:59:21

that goal and then some, and let's make

00:59:21--> 00:59:22

sure that we are SubhanAllah,

00:59:23--> 00:59:25

it's crazy to me that that you know

00:59:25--> 00:59:26

it's 17 ks, 1 you know I saw

00:59:26--> 00:59:27

100 something,

00:59:28--> 00:59:30

100 people can be paid can be fed

00:59:30--> 00:59:32

for an entire month with 10 ks SubhanAllah.

00:59:32--> 00:59:35

There's only 2,000,000 some people in Gaza. If

00:59:35--> 00:59:36

all of us came together as an Ummah,

00:59:36--> 00:59:38

I know it seems like big numbers right

00:59:38--> 00:59:40

now, but SubhanAllah, this is doable for us.

00:59:40--> 00:59:41

So I hope that we take that as

00:59:41--> 00:59:43

a real, like, for an entire month after

00:59:43--> 00:59:45

6 months of this hardship, I pray that

00:59:45--> 00:59:47

we come together and we make this a

00:59:47--> 00:59:49

successful effort. And please again, keep sharing that

00:59:49--> 00:59:51

today's forgotten woman day here in Ramadan 360

00:59:51--> 00:59:53

let's meet let's exceed their goals and and

00:59:53--> 00:59:55

let's make sure that we take care of

00:59:55--> 00:59:57

the most vulnerable in our ummah insha Allah

00:59:57--> 00:59:59

With that said, we have a little bit

00:59:59--> 01:00:01

of time left to continue our program insha'Allah

01:00:02--> 01:00:03

and to reflect on the topic of Sid

01:00:03--> 01:00:07

with Usalatemia Zubair for day number 22, Usadetania.

01:00:07--> 01:00:09

It wasn't my fault. It was I know

01:00:09--> 01:00:11

the session was super strong. Already come it's

01:00:11--> 01:00:13

no one who thought of it. Michelle, the

01:00:13--> 01:00:15

topic is amazing and it was sister

01:00:16--> 01:00:19

Sadia's presentation was so powerful. Incredible. And that

01:00:19--> 01:00:20

Allah much needed.

01:00:21--> 01:00:24

You know, you you have all all all

01:00:24--> 01:00:27

of these emotions and feelings, and you need

01:00:27--> 01:00:29

to be able to know how to channelize

01:00:29--> 01:00:30

them. Exactly. So may Allah

01:00:31--> 01:00:31

reward,

01:00:32--> 01:00:34

charities like forgotten women who

01:00:35--> 01:00:35

are working

01:00:36--> 01:00:39

and providing us with the opportunity to do

01:00:39--> 01:00:41

something here. Because if it wasn't for them,

01:00:42--> 01:00:44

what could we do sitting over here? That's

01:00:44--> 01:00:47

so sweet. And I think it's so beautiful

01:00:47--> 01:00:47

that

01:00:47--> 01:00:51

it's women who are helping women. Women. Alhamdulillah.

01:00:51--> 01:00:52

Alhamdulillah.

01:00:52--> 01:00:54

I absolutely love that.

01:00:58--> 01:01:00

Alright. Let's begin. Let's jump

01:01:00--> 01:01:01

in.

01:01:01--> 01:01:02

Bismillah. Alright.

01:01:11--> 01:01:12

So the word Situk

01:01:12--> 01:01:13

occurs,

01:01:13--> 01:01:14

about

01:01:15--> 01:01:15

a 155

01:01:16--> 01:01:18

times in the Quran in various forms.

01:01:18--> 01:01:22

And as we learned, slitq is not just

01:01:22--> 01:01:22

a

01:01:23--> 01:01:25

virtue. It's actually a station of closeness

01:01:26--> 01:01:27

to Allah.

01:01:28--> 01:01:29

In the Quran, Allah

01:01:30--> 01:01:30

mentions,

01:01:32--> 01:01:35

the the reward of those who obey Allah

01:01:35--> 01:01:36

and the messenger

01:01:38--> 01:01:39

that they will be

01:01:39--> 01:01:41

with those whom Allah

01:01:41--> 01:01:42

has blessed.

01:01:43--> 01:01:44

And who are they?

01:01:50--> 01:01:51

And if you see here, siddiqeen

01:01:52--> 01:01:54

are mentioned right after the prophets,

01:01:54--> 01:01:55

and siddiqeen

01:01:55--> 01:01:57

are people of truth.

01:01:57--> 01:01:59

And these are people who are other than

01:01:59--> 01:02:00

the prophets,

01:02:00--> 01:02:01

and their station

01:02:02--> 01:02:04

is after that of the prophets of Allah.

01:02:05--> 01:02:06

Now linguistically,

01:02:06--> 01:02:07

the word is

01:02:08--> 01:02:10

synonymous to the word.

01:02:11--> 01:02:12

Means firmness.

01:02:13--> 01:02:15

Okay. The strength of something.

01:02:16--> 01:02:17

So sit linguistically

01:02:18--> 01:02:21

is is when something is robust,

01:02:21--> 01:02:22

when something is

01:02:22--> 01:02:23

sturdy.

01:02:24--> 01:02:26

And this is the nature of

01:02:26--> 01:02:27

truth

01:02:28--> 01:02:29

that it is

01:02:29--> 01:02:32

firm, it is strong, it is here to

01:02:32--> 01:02:33

stay.

01:02:34--> 01:02:36

Truth has a strength to it, which is

01:02:36--> 01:02:38

why it remains, and its opposite

01:02:39--> 01:02:40

falsehood

01:02:41--> 01:02:43

lies they're weak.

01:02:43--> 01:02:45

Right? They have no strength to them, which

01:02:45--> 01:02:46

is why

01:02:46--> 01:02:48

they get washed away over time.

01:02:48--> 01:02:51

They they do not last.

01:02:51--> 01:02:53

And this is something very important to remember.

01:02:54--> 01:02:56

Because when we hear lies

01:02:56--> 01:02:59

all around us, we feel this kind of

01:02:59--> 01:03:01

fear that, you know, truth is being buried.

01:03:01--> 01:03:02

People can attempt

01:03:03--> 01:03:05

all they want. They can lie

01:03:06--> 01:03:06

outright

01:03:07--> 01:03:07

and

01:03:08--> 01:03:11

It's so evident these days how people can

01:03:11--> 01:03:14

just lie through their teeth. It's it's

01:03:15--> 01:03:15

shocking

01:03:16--> 01:03:18

that how how can a person lie so

01:03:18--> 01:03:20

much? But remember

01:03:20--> 01:03:21

that lying

01:03:21--> 01:03:23

has a weakness to it,

01:03:24--> 01:03:27

be because of which it cannot last.

01:03:27--> 01:03:29

And truth has a strength to it, which

01:03:29--> 01:03:31

is why it lasts.

01:03:32--> 01:03:36

And truth is the opposite of lying. It

01:03:36--> 01:03:38

is the opposite of deception. It is the

01:03:38--> 01:03:40

opposite of hypocrisy.

01:03:40--> 01:03:41

Right?

01:03:41--> 01:03:43

Now we see that truthfulness,

01:03:43--> 01:03:44

silq

01:03:44--> 01:03:46

is in one speech.

01:03:46--> 01:03:48

It is also in one's intention.

01:03:49--> 01:03:52

Alright? It is also in one's resolve and

01:03:52--> 01:03:52

determination.

01:03:53--> 01:03:55

And that means that when a person is

01:03:55--> 01:03:56

resolved,

01:03:56--> 01:03:58

they have the determination to do something. They

01:03:58--> 01:04:01

don't waver. Truthfulness means that they don't waver.

01:04:01--> 01:04:02

They don't quit.

01:04:03--> 01:04:05

Truthfulness is also in one's actions,

01:04:05--> 01:04:08

such that their actions align with the truth.

01:04:09--> 01:04:10

They align with their speech.

01:04:11--> 01:04:12

And truthfulness

01:04:12--> 01:04:15

is also in one's adherence

01:04:16--> 01:04:18

to the religion of Allah.

01:04:18--> 01:04:20

Alright? And this is,

01:04:21--> 01:04:22

mainly what,

01:04:23--> 01:04:26

Ustad Hayasmin's speech was about. Right? Being truthful

01:04:26--> 01:04:27

to Allah

01:04:28--> 01:04:30

and being truthful in your commit in your

01:04:30--> 01:04:31

commitment to worshiping

01:04:32--> 01:04:33

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

01:04:33--> 01:04:36

Now we see in the Quran that truthfulness

01:04:36--> 01:04:37

is described as

01:04:38--> 01:04:39

a, means

01:04:41--> 01:04:42

an attribute

01:04:42--> 01:04:43

of Allah

01:04:44--> 01:04:46

And this is one of the greatest,

01:04:48--> 01:04:50

you can say any it's it's one of

01:04:50--> 01:04:52

the greatest virtues of truth.

01:04:52--> 01:04:55

The fact that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala describes

01:04:55--> 01:04:56

himself as truthful.

01:04:57--> 01:04:59

And he this is enough for us to

01:04:59--> 01:05:01

to adopt this quality

01:05:02--> 01:05:03

because Allah

01:05:03--> 01:05:04

is truthful.

01:05:06--> 01:05:07

Say Allah has spoken the truth.

01:05:09--> 01:05:12

Who is more truthful than Allah in speech?

01:05:14--> 01:05:15

Who could be more truthful

01:05:15--> 01:05:17

than Allah in speech?

01:05:20--> 01:05:21

Allah

01:05:21--> 01:05:23

was truthful to you in his promise.

01:05:24--> 01:05:24

Right?

01:05:25--> 01:05:26

Allah

01:05:27--> 01:05:28

and his messenger were truthful.

01:05:28--> 01:05:30

The people of paradise will say,

01:05:34--> 01:05:37

All praises to Allah who was truthful to

01:05:37--> 01:05:38

us in his promise.

01:05:39--> 01:05:39

So

01:05:40--> 01:05:40

truthfulness

01:05:40--> 01:05:41

is a.

01:05:42--> 01:05:44

Then we see the truthfulness

01:05:44--> 01:05:47

is also a quality of the prophets of

01:05:47--> 01:05:47

Allah.

01:05:48--> 01:05:50

We say in Surat Mariam Ibrahim alaihis salam

01:05:50--> 01:05:52

is described as siddiq.

01:05:52--> 01:05:55

Ismail, alaihis salam, is described as

01:05:56--> 01:05:58

someone who was truthful in his promise.

01:05:59--> 01:06:01

Alaihis salam is described as.

01:06:02--> 01:06:04

Yusuf alaihis salam. Yusuf,

01:06:06--> 01:06:07

oh, man of truth.

01:06:08--> 01:06:10

And siddiq is not just someone who is

01:06:10--> 01:06:11

truthful. Sadiq

01:06:12--> 01:06:12

is

01:06:13--> 01:06:15

and he's someone who is very, very, very,

01:06:15--> 01:06:17

extremely truthful.

01:06:17--> 01:06:19

And what that means is that they're truthful

01:06:20--> 01:06:23

in their speech, in their actions, and in

01:06:23--> 01:06:24

all of their situations,

01:06:25--> 01:06:27

but also that they are mussaddik,

01:06:28--> 01:06:28

meaning

01:06:29--> 01:06:30

they confirm

01:06:30--> 01:06:31

the truth

01:06:32--> 01:06:33

of

01:06:33--> 01:06:35

what should be confirmed.

01:06:35--> 01:06:37

Alright? And this requires

01:06:38--> 01:06:38

knowledge.

01:06:39--> 01:06:40

Okay? You cannot

01:06:41--> 01:06:41

confirm

01:06:42--> 01:06:45

the truthfulness of something without having knowledge about

01:06:45--> 01:06:46

it.

01:06:47--> 01:06:50

Right? And it also requires alaamalu salih, righteous

01:06:50--> 01:06:54

action, because you cannot confirm the truthfulness of

01:06:54--> 01:06:55

something just with your words.

01:06:56--> 01:06:57

Right? You have to prove it with your

01:06:57--> 01:06:58

actions.

01:06:59--> 01:07:01

So the prophets of Allah, they're also praised

01:07:01--> 01:07:02

as,

01:07:03--> 01:07:06

those who were people of of extreme truthfulness.

01:07:07--> 01:07:09

And then we see in the Quran, the

01:07:09--> 01:07:10

truthfulness is also

01:07:11--> 01:07:12

described as a quality

01:07:13--> 01:07:14

of those who believe.

01:07:15--> 01:07:18

And the interesting thing is that when Allah

01:07:18--> 01:07:21

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala describes the believers as truthful,

01:07:21--> 01:07:23

he's not just referring to their

01:07:24--> 01:07:26

to the truthfulness in their speech. No. It's

01:07:26--> 01:07:27

their truthfulness

01:07:28--> 01:07:29

in their resolve,

01:07:30--> 01:07:31

in their

01:07:31--> 01:07:34

worship of Allah, in their commitment

01:07:34--> 01:07:35

to Allah.

01:07:36--> 01:07:38

So for example, in Suratul Al Ahab, verse

01:07:38--> 01:07:39

number 23, Allah mentions

01:07:45--> 01:07:48

Among the believers are men who were true

01:07:48--> 01:07:50

to what they're promised Allah.

01:07:51--> 01:07:55

Meaning, they they did not break their promise

01:07:55--> 01:07:56

to Allah.

01:07:56--> 01:07:57

Whatever

01:07:57--> 01:08:01

commitment they made with Allah, they fulfilled it.

01:08:01--> 01:08:02

Allah

01:08:02--> 01:08:05

mentions in Surah Al Hajjrat verse number 15,

01:08:06--> 01:08:07

the believers who

01:08:08--> 01:08:10

strive in the way of Allah. Alright?

01:08:10--> 01:08:12

Allah says,

01:08:15--> 01:08:17

Those are the ones who are truthful.

01:08:18--> 01:08:20

Who? Those who say that we believe,

01:08:21--> 01:08:23

and then they have no doubt whatsoever, and

01:08:23--> 01:08:25

then they strive in the way of Allah

01:08:25--> 01:08:27

with their properties, meaning they spend

01:08:28--> 01:08:29

their property in the way of Allah.

01:08:30--> 01:08:31

They they they,

01:08:32--> 01:08:34

you know, offer their services.

01:08:34--> 01:08:35

Alright?

01:08:35--> 01:08:36

They they strive.

01:08:42--> 01:08:44

So truthfulness is not just in your speech.

01:08:44--> 01:08:46

It is in your adherence

01:08:47--> 01:08:48

to Allah's religion.

01:08:49--> 01:08:52

Allah mentions in Surat Al Baqarah, verse 177,

01:08:53--> 01:08:56

about what real piety is.

01:09:00--> 01:09:02

That piety is not that you just turn

01:09:02--> 01:09:05

your faces towards the east or the west.

01:09:05--> 01:09:06

Alright?

01:09:06--> 01:09:09

Meaning an outward display of piety. No.

01:09:09--> 01:09:10

Real piety

01:09:11--> 01:09:13

is of the one who believes in Allah

01:09:13--> 01:09:15

and the last day and the angels and

01:09:15--> 01:09:16

the scriptures and the prophets

01:09:17--> 01:09:18

and the one who

01:09:18--> 01:09:20

gives his money

01:09:21--> 01:09:23

in spite of love for it.

01:09:24--> 01:09:25

Okay?

01:09:27--> 01:09:30

And he he wants that money for himself.

01:09:30--> 01:09:31

He loves it,

01:09:31--> 01:09:33

but he gives it in the way of

01:09:33--> 01:09:36

Allah for the pleasure of Allah to who?

01:09:36--> 01:09:38

To the relative, to the orphans, to those

01:09:38--> 01:09:41

in need, to the travelers, to those who

01:09:41--> 01:09:44

ask, and also for the freeing of captives.

01:09:44--> 01:09:47

Those who establish prayer and give zakat and

01:09:47--> 01:09:50

fulfill their promises whenever they make them, those

01:09:50--> 01:09:51

who are patient

01:09:52--> 01:09:53

in times of hardship,

01:09:54--> 01:09:55

in times of difficulty,

01:09:55--> 01:09:57

and also in times of war,

01:10:00--> 01:10:01

these people, Allah says,

01:10:03--> 01:10:05

They're the ones who are truthful.

01:10:06--> 01:10:08

So truthfulness is not just about what you

01:10:08--> 01:10:09

say,

01:10:09--> 01:10:12

that did you did you put the water

01:10:12--> 01:10:14

over here? Yes. I did. Right? It's it's

01:10:14--> 01:10:16

not just about your speech.

01:10:17--> 01:10:19

It's also in your actions, in your commitment

01:10:19--> 01:10:22

to Allah, in how you spend your money.

01:10:22--> 01:10:26

Allah says about the about the in Surat

01:10:26--> 01:10:28

al Hashad, verse number 8,

01:10:28--> 01:10:30

that the fuqara, the,

01:10:31--> 01:10:33

those who were driven out of their homes.

01:10:34--> 01:10:35

Right?

01:10:35--> 01:10:37

And they seek the favor of Allah.

01:10:38--> 01:10:38

And

01:10:40--> 01:10:42

they help Allah and his messenger.

01:10:45--> 01:10:46

Those are the ones who are truthful.

01:10:48--> 01:10:49

And then we see in the Quran that

01:10:49--> 01:10:50

Allah

01:10:51--> 01:10:53

commands us to be truthful. He makes it

01:10:53--> 01:10:56

a requirement for success. So in Surah Tawba

01:10:56--> 01:10:57

verse 119,

01:10:58--> 01:10:59

Allah says,

01:11:04--> 01:11:06

Be with those who are truthful.

01:11:06--> 01:11:09

Because in this world, there is literally a

01:11:09--> 01:11:11

war between truth and falsehood.

01:11:12--> 01:11:13

And it is

01:11:13--> 01:11:16

truth and falsehood because of which people will

01:11:16--> 01:11:19

be separated. People will be separated on the

01:11:19--> 01:11:19

day of judgment.

01:11:20--> 01:11:22

Those who believe in the truth, adhere to

01:11:22--> 01:11:23

the truth,

01:11:23--> 01:11:26

are truthful to Allah, they are the ones

01:11:26--> 01:11:27

who who will be successful.

01:11:28--> 01:11:28

Right?

01:11:29--> 01:11:30

Allah mentions in

01:11:31--> 01:11:31

24.

01:11:36--> 01:11:38

That Allah will reward the truthful

01:11:39--> 01:11:41

on the day of judgment. Why?

01:11:41--> 01:11:42

Because of their truthfulness.

01:11:44--> 01:11:46

Because they believed in the truth. They spoke

01:11:46--> 01:11:48

the truth. They lived the truth.

01:11:49--> 01:11:52

They remained committed to the truth. They were

01:11:52--> 01:11:54

truthful to Allah, so they will be rewarded

01:11:55--> 01:11:56

on the day of judgment.

01:12:01--> 01:12:03

And Allah will punish who? The hypocrites.

01:12:04--> 01:12:06

If he wants or he will turn in

01:12:06--> 01:12:07

mercy on them if they,

01:12:08--> 01:12:08

repent.

01:12:09--> 01:12:11

And then we see in the Quran, Allah

01:12:11--> 01:12:14

also mentions great reward for those who are

01:12:14--> 01:12:14

truthful.

01:12:15--> 01:12:16

The the first

01:12:17--> 01:12:19

is the fact that they will be with

01:12:20--> 01:12:22

an Nabi they they will be among the

01:12:22--> 01:12:26

Sudiqin whose station is very high right after

01:12:26--> 01:12:27

that of the prophets.

01:12:27--> 01:12:30

Allah says in Surat Al Maida verse 119

01:12:31--> 01:12:31

that

01:12:34--> 01:12:37

that this is a day when the truth

01:12:37--> 01:12:39

of the truthful people is going to benefit

01:12:39--> 01:12:40

them.

01:12:41--> 01:12:42

And what is it that they're going to

01:12:42--> 01:12:43

get?

01:12:47--> 01:12:50

They will have gardens beneath which reverse flow.

01:12:52--> 01:12:55

It wherein they will abide forever. And so

01:12:55--> 01:12:55

to Zumr

01:12:56--> 01:12:57

verses 3334, Allah

01:12:59--> 01:12:59

says,

01:13:03--> 01:13:05

the one who brought the truth and the

01:13:05--> 01:13:08

one who confirmed the truth. So who's the

01:13:08--> 01:13:10

one who brought the truth? The prophet of

01:13:10--> 01:13:10

Allah

01:13:12--> 01:13:14

And who's the one who believes in it?

01:13:14--> 01:13:18

Those who who those who, you know, believe

01:13:18--> 01:13:19

in him and follow him.

01:13:20--> 01:13:20

Right?

01:13:22--> 01:13:23

Those are the righteous.

01:13:24--> 01:13:25

Allah says

01:13:28--> 01:13:30

They will have whatever that they want with

01:13:30--> 01:13:31

their lord.

01:13:32--> 01:13:33

Because sometimes,

01:13:34--> 01:13:35

for the sake of the truth, you have

01:13:35--> 01:13:38

to give up a lot. You have to

01:13:38--> 01:13:40

sacrifice a lot. You have to give up

01:13:40--> 01:13:42

your own wishes. Now I was just thinking

01:13:42--> 01:13:42

about,

01:13:44--> 01:13:47

the the position of the Ansar in Madinah,

01:13:48--> 01:13:48

how Allah

01:13:49--> 01:13:50

praises them.

01:13:55--> 01:13:57

That That they would give preference to the

01:13:57--> 01:13:58

mujahideen

01:13:58--> 01:13:59

over themselves

01:14:00--> 01:14:04

even though they themselves were in extreme hunger.

01:14:05--> 01:14:07

They didn't have enough to eat for themselves,

01:14:07--> 01:14:09

but they couldn't bear

01:14:09--> 01:14:12

that somebody else is going to go hungry.

01:14:12--> 01:14:15

So in in the silo, we, you know,

01:14:15--> 01:14:17

we we we learn in the hadith, we

01:14:17--> 01:14:18

learn about the incident where,

01:14:19--> 01:14:19

some

01:14:20--> 01:14:22

a family of the unsal was hosting some

01:14:22--> 01:14:23

of the guests of the prophet

01:14:24--> 01:14:26

and they didn't have enough food.

01:14:27--> 01:14:28

So what did they do in the dark

01:14:28--> 01:14:30

in in in the dark? They put out

01:14:30--> 01:14:31

the lamp,

01:14:31--> 01:14:33

and in front of the guest, they were

01:14:33--> 01:14:34

pretending

01:14:34--> 01:14:37

to eat. They were hungry themselves, and they

01:14:37--> 01:14:39

were pretending to eat. Why? So that the

01:14:39--> 01:14:41

guest would not feel bad that he's the

01:14:41--> 01:14:42

only one eating.

01:14:44--> 01:14:46

Think about it. This is truthfulness.

01:14:47--> 01:14:48

This is.

01:14:49--> 01:14:49

Allah

01:14:50--> 01:14:52

mentions in Surat Al Irwan verses 15 to

01:14:52--> 01:14:54

17 about the

01:14:55--> 01:14:56

reward of

01:14:56--> 01:14:58

of those who believe, Allah

01:14:58--> 01:15:00

mentioned some of their virtues,

01:15:00--> 01:15:01

that they are.

01:15:03--> 01:15:04

Those who are patient and those who are

01:15:04--> 01:15:04

truthful.

01:15:06--> 01:15:08

And of course, there are many other verses

01:15:08--> 01:15:10

that mention the reward of those who are

01:15:10--> 01:15:12

truthful. We should ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

01:15:12--> 01:15:14

for the ability to be truthful. There's a

01:15:14--> 01:15:15

beautiful hadith in which we learned that the

01:15:15--> 01:15:18

prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam taught Shaddadi bin

01:15:18--> 01:15:19

Aus,

01:15:19--> 01:15:20

a beautiful dua,

01:15:20--> 01:15:22

in which part of the dua is

01:15:27--> 01:15:29

that That, oh, Allah, I ask you for

01:15:29--> 01:15:32

a heart that is sound and I ask

01:15:32--> 01:15:33

you for a tongue that is truthful.

01:15:34--> 01:15:36

Give me the ability to be truthful in

01:15:36--> 01:15:37

my speech.

01:15:39--> 01:15:41

And the beginning of the dua actually is

01:15:44--> 01:15:46

Oh, Allah, I ask you for steadfastness in

01:15:46--> 01:15:47

all matters.

01:15:47--> 01:15:50

Give me the ability to be steadfast

01:15:50--> 01:15:51

in,

01:15:51--> 01:15:53

in in in the matter of religion.

01:15:54--> 01:15:56

Any in in my commitment to my deen,

01:15:57--> 01:15:58

give me the ability to be steadfast, and

01:15:58--> 01:16:00

that is your truthfulness.

01:16:01--> 01:16:01

May

01:16:02--> 01:16:03

Allah grant us all,

01:16:03--> 01:16:05

this beautiful virtue,

01:16:05--> 01:16:08

and I'm so sorry we had, like, a

01:16:08--> 01:16:08

minute or 2.

01:16:10--> 01:16:12

Absa, is it okay if we go past

01:16:12--> 01:16:14

6:15 today? Just Yeah. A few minutes to

01:16:14--> 01:16:16

take your questions. Because I wanna I wanna

01:16:16--> 01:16:17

hear this is such a great topic. It's

01:16:17--> 01:16:19

been such a beautiful session. Let's hear from

01:16:19--> 01:16:20

a couple of more people

01:16:21--> 01:16:22

before we close. Couple of people. So I

01:16:22--> 01:16:24

see Laibah's had her hand up. So, Laibah,

01:16:24--> 01:16:26

you go first inshallah, and then guys get

01:16:26--> 01:16:27

your hands up as quick as possible so

01:16:27--> 01:16:28

you can be next in line inshallah. And

01:16:28--> 01:16:30

just while we're doing that, remember, please keep

01:16:30--> 01:16:32

that link in mind. I've seen the numbers

01:16:32--> 01:16:33

slow down just a little bit. We're so,

01:16:33--> 01:16:35

so we're doing so well towards the goal,

01:16:35--> 01:16:37

so please keep donating to lashko.comforward/amalgribdashfw.

01:16:39--> 01:16:41

Live. I'll go right ahead.

01:16:43--> 01:16:46

Miss Mila. Well, before today, I never knew

01:16:46--> 01:16:48

that having such a deep in, you know,

01:16:49--> 01:16:51

you know, consult about this topic was very

01:16:51--> 01:16:52

necessary for

01:16:53--> 01:16:55

us. After having such a beautiful lecture on

01:16:55--> 01:16:56

today's,

01:16:56--> 01:16:59

new topic, I am so eager to practice

01:16:59--> 01:17:00

this in my real life, inshallah, and I

01:17:00--> 01:17:02

try to be more truthful

01:17:02--> 01:17:04

to what we, you know, what we learned

01:17:04--> 01:17:06

today. But other than that, I would I

01:17:06--> 01:17:08

was so, you know, happy when you say

01:17:08--> 01:17:10

to me that Alvar is truthful and he

01:17:11--> 01:17:12

is truthful in his promises.

01:17:13--> 01:17:15

Sometimes we do get, you know, a little

01:17:15--> 01:17:15

bit

01:17:16--> 01:17:19

overwhelmed by, you know, by, the surroundings and

01:17:19--> 01:17:22

by, you know, the the lying and oppressors

01:17:22--> 01:17:24

getting more in this dunya

01:17:24--> 01:17:26

and being like, oh my god. What if,

01:17:26--> 01:17:27

like, I could have have that if I

01:17:27--> 01:17:29

could be just a little bit more flexible

01:17:29--> 01:17:32

with my Islam or with my training? But

01:17:32--> 01:17:34

then you remember that indeed Allah is truthful

01:17:34--> 01:17:36

in his promise. At the end of the

01:17:36--> 01:17:38

day, it's Allah who's gonna provide for you

01:17:38--> 01:17:40

if you're truthful to him, and he's he's

01:17:40--> 01:17:42

he's gonna be returning back to you and

01:17:42--> 01:17:44

being truthful to you because

01:17:44--> 01:17:47

it's him. You know? Him being truthful in

01:17:47--> 01:17:49

nature is what motivates us all Muslims to

01:17:49--> 01:17:51

stay. So just like I said, that was

01:17:51--> 01:17:52

a very needed reminder.

01:17:53--> 01:17:56

Wonderful. Wonderful. Beautifully said, Laibha. Zahra, you're next,

01:17:56--> 01:17:57

Inshallah. Zahra, go right ahead.

01:17:59--> 01:18:01

Hi. I was just wanting to emphasize on

01:18:01--> 01:18:03

the point of truthfulness by,

01:18:04--> 01:18:04

and the extent

01:18:05--> 01:18:07

of of what she was saying by,

01:18:08--> 01:18:10

the I by going back to,

01:18:12--> 01:18:13

example of,

01:18:13--> 01:18:15

of, like, slavery and, like,

01:18:16--> 01:18:16

even

01:18:17--> 01:18:19

what what what she was saying is what

01:18:19--> 01:18:21

it reminds me of slavehood. And then it

01:18:21--> 01:18:23

just reminds me of an ayah in the

01:18:23--> 01:18:27

Quran when it said the, my prayer, my

01:18:27--> 01:18:29

sacrifice, my life, my death belong to God.

01:18:30--> 01:18:32

And those and those

01:18:32--> 01:18:34

of Asar Khashafil

01:18:34--> 01:18:35

Asar,

01:18:35--> 01:18:37

when he said the,

01:18:38--> 01:18:39

he who knows,

01:18:40--> 01:18:42

what is that? His soul belongs to God

01:18:42--> 01:18:44

and a portion of him remains to other

01:18:44--> 01:18:46

than God. So it is that,

01:18:47--> 01:18:50

so when I was just doing the, like,

01:18:50--> 01:18:51

I I was just thinking about it,

01:18:53--> 01:18:55

The the truthfulness is in us pushing everything

01:18:55--> 01:18:57

aside and focusing only

01:18:57--> 01:18:59

on and nothing besides him.

01:19:05--> 01:19:06

Yeah.

01:19:07--> 01:19:08

Good. Next person. Sorry.

01:19:10--> 01:19:11

Beautiful reflection.

01:19:11--> 01:19:13

The next person we have in mind oh,

01:19:13--> 01:19:15

I saw Maheem, but I think I lost

01:19:15--> 01:19:16

you. So we'll take z from the Philippines.

01:19:16--> 01:19:18

Inshallah, go right ahead, z.

01:19:22--> 01:19:25

So I'd like to just share a short

01:19:25--> 01:19:26

reflection regarding

01:19:26--> 01:19:28

about being truthful.

01:19:29--> 01:19:32

Is that, being truthful always leads us to

01:19:32--> 01:19:33

great things in life, such as,

01:19:34--> 01:19:36

Allah being with us

01:19:36--> 01:19:39

no matter what happens. Like, no matter who

01:19:39--> 01:19:41

presses us, no matter who tries to ruin

01:19:41--> 01:19:43

us, as long as you stick to the

01:19:43--> 01:19:46

truth, you'll always win even at the end.

01:19:46--> 01:19:48

That would be all.

01:19:49--> 01:19:51

Is that kind of thing? Monica, Vicky. And

01:19:51--> 01:19:53

those of you who are making fun of

01:19:53--> 01:19:54

my microphone, I've had it

01:19:55--> 01:19:58

since the beginning. Okay? It just used to

01:19:58--> 01:19:58

be here,

01:19:59--> 01:20:01

and today I just moved it forward.

01:20:01--> 01:20:03

That's all I did. I was gonna call

01:20:03--> 01:20:05

it out too. See it. Doesn't mean it's

01:20:05--> 01:20:08

not there. She sounds the same. Oh, that's

01:20:08--> 01:20:09

so funny.

01:20:11--> 01:20:12

Great reflections.

01:20:13--> 01:20:14

I thought I should settle this. You know?

01:20:14--> 01:20:17

Yes. Before before the 59 increases. Although

01:20:17--> 01:20:21

Abdul Rahman's microphone is Sweet. It's digital it.

01:20:24--> 01:20:26

Okay. Let's take maybe one more person.

01:20:27--> 01:20:29

I see brother I think it's Al Buntezer.

01:20:29--> 01:20:30

Please go ahead, Bismillah.

01:20:33--> 01:20:34

Hello. Assalamu alaikum.

01:20:35--> 01:20:37

By the way, I am from the Philippines

01:20:37--> 01:20:38

also.

01:20:40--> 01:20:42

On my reflection regarding the truthfulness,

01:20:43--> 01:20:45

it is also interconnected with the,

01:20:46--> 01:20:47

what we call this,

01:20:48--> 01:20:50

you are sensitive to others

01:20:51--> 01:20:54

regarding how you serve the Ooma,

01:20:55--> 01:20:57

how you will consider even you have a

01:20:57--> 01:20:59

little amount of money you can give to

01:20:59--> 01:20:59

the others.

01:21:00--> 01:21:03

So it is also to,

01:21:03--> 01:21:06

what we call this, interconnected to the conserve

01:21:07--> 01:21:07

conservativity

01:21:08--> 01:21:08

and also

01:21:09--> 01:21:11

how you how how how how to become

01:21:12--> 01:21:14

a a what we call this?

01:21:17--> 01:21:18

How to become you will

01:21:21--> 01:21:23

yeah. Yeah. That's it. That that would be

01:21:23--> 01:21:24

all I think.

01:21:24--> 01:21:26

You know what you said reminded me of,

01:21:26--> 01:21:29

and, we can end with this, Absa. Yes.

01:21:29--> 01:21:30

It reminded me of the

01:21:31--> 01:21:33

expedition to Tabuk in the Sila. We learn

01:21:33--> 01:21:34

about how

01:21:35--> 01:21:39

the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam encouraged everybody to

01:21:39--> 01:21:41

contribute whatever they could because the journey was

01:21:41--> 01:21:41

long.

01:21:43--> 01:21:44

And

01:21:44--> 01:21:46

people were bringing in whatever they could, but

01:21:46--> 01:21:47

among the companions, there were those who were

01:21:47--> 01:21:50

not wealthy at all. And they some of

01:21:50--> 01:21:53

them would work as porters literally,

01:21:53--> 01:21:56

you know, or or watering the the fields

01:21:56--> 01:21:58

like actual physical labor

01:21:59--> 01:22:00

for which you don't get paid a lot

01:22:00--> 01:22:02

of money. Right?

01:22:02--> 01:22:04

And one of them worked

01:22:04--> 01:22:07

for many hours and all that he earned

01:22:07--> 01:22:09

was just a handful of dates.

01:22:09--> 01:22:11

And he brought that to the prophet

01:22:12--> 01:22:13

and the prophet

01:22:14--> 01:22:17

put that on top of the pile

01:22:18--> 01:22:19

of, you know, all the things that had

01:22:19--> 01:22:21

been brought as contributions.

01:22:21--> 01:22:22

I mean, the prophet

01:22:23--> 01:22:25

made a big deal out of it. It

01:22:25--> 01:22:26

appeared to be small,

01:22:27--> 01:22:29

but it was put on top.

01:22:30--> 01:22:32

Right? And the hypocrites were the ones who

01:22:32--> 01:22:35

were mocking at the time that this is

01:22:35--> 01:22:36

how they're gonna go

01:22:37--> 01:22:38

and defeat the Romans.

01:22:40--> 01:22:42

But it's not about how much you bring.

01:22:42--> 01:22:43

It's about the

01:22:44--> 01:22:47

of of your heart. Right? Your your truthfulness

01:22:47--> 01:22:48

to Allah

01:22:49--> 01:22:51

that, yeah, Allah, this is all I I

01:22:51--> 01:22:53

want to do more, but this is all

01:22:53--> 01:22:54

I can do.

01:22:54--> 01:22:57

Right? So bring that truthfulness in your actions,

01:22:57--> 01:22:57

and

01:22:58--> 01:23:00

with that truthfulness, a small deed

01:23:01--> 01:23:03

will be counted as huge.

01:23:04--> 01:23:06

Right? A small deed will be accepted

01:23:07--> 01:23:07

by Allah

01:23:08--> 01:23:10

because of your sick. And if sick is

01:23:10--> 01:23:13

not there, then even the biggest of deeds

01:23:13--> 01:23:15

will not carry any weight on the day

01:23:15--> 01:23:15

of judgment.

01:23:16--> 01:23:18

Right? We know about the man who will

01:23:18--> 01:23:20

be brought, who, you know, who will say

01:23:20--> 01:23:22

who who will who will be a reciter

01:23:22--> 01:23:23

of the Quran.

01:23:23--> 01:23:24

Right?

01:23:24--> 01:23:26

The the man who was killed in the

01:23:26--> 01:23:27

way of Allah. Right? So,

01:23:28--> 01:23:30

apparently, the one who was killed in the

01:23:30--> 01:23:32

way of Allah, and the the the so

01:23:32--> 01:23:34

called shahid. But these two people,

01:23:35--> 01:23:37

they did what they did for fame,

01:23:37--> 01:23:39

and they got that fame. They didn't do

01:23:39--> 01:23:40

it with.

01:23:41--> 01:23:41

So

01:23:42--> 01:23:45

those big deeds will bring them no reward.

01:23:45--> 01:23:46

So

01:23:48--> 01:23:51

is extremely important in every action of ours.

01:23:52--> 01:23:53

Alright.

01:23:54--> 01:23:56

Thank you so much for the final reflection

01:23:56--> 01:23:58

for day number 22

01:23:58--> 01:24:00

of Ramadan 360 on the topic of sith

01:24:00--> 01:24:02

and truthfulness. Honestly, you guys have made this

01:24:02--> 01:24:05

this day very special from our speakers, to

01:24:05--> 01:24:06

the audience, to the way that you've engaged.

01:24:06--> 01:24:08

So many great reflections I saw typed out

01:24:08--> 01:24:10

in the chat as well. I can't read

01:24:10--> 01:24:11

through all of them, but or read through

01:24:11--> 01:24:12

some of the ones that really stood out

01:24:12--> 01:24:13

to me, but

01:24:14--> 01:24:15

please keep sharing those on Telegram and through

01:24:15--> 01:24:17

Padlet. And I love the love that you

01:24:17--> 01:24:19

guys give to each other. It is, it's

01:24:19--> 01:24:21

true. Someone was saying, I instantly get refreshed

01:24:21--> 01:24:23

whenever I come into Ramadan 360. I think

01:24:23--> 01:24:24

we saw that Tamia was saying the same

01:24:24--> 01:24:26

previously. Other speakers have said the same is

01:24:26--> 01:24:28

that they come in, they're tired, it's near

01:24:28--> 01:24:29

the end of the fast, and then it's

01:24:29--> 01:24:31

like a jolt of energy.

01:24:32--> 01:24:34

So for building this community. And please, as

01:24:34--> 01:24:36

we've said today, today is forgotten woman day

01:24:36--> 01:24:39

at Ramadan in Ramadan 360. Please donate generously

01:24:39--> 01:24:40

at that link or drop it once again

01:24:40--> 01:24:42

in the chat in the chat, launchkit.comforward/,

01:24:44--> 01:24:45

there you go, amagribdashfw.

01:24:46--> 01:24:48

Please donate as much as you can. I

01:24:48--> 01:24:50

know over the last few months that we've

01:24:50--> 01:24:52

been all feeling like, seeing all these horrific

01:24:52--> 01:24:55

images, seeing, you know, families devastated, kids devastated,

01:24:55--> 01:24:57

and all we wanna do is we wanna

01:24:57--> 01:24:58

give them a hug. We wanna give them

01:24:58--> 01:25:00

some relief. We wanna, you know, relieve their

01:25:00--> 01:25:02

burdens and from and their harm and their

01:25:02--> 01:25:04

pain. And this is some a really tangible

01:25:04--> 01:25:06

way we can do that and an effective

01:25:06--> 01:25:07

way that we can do that, not just

01:25:07--> 01:25:09

for a moment, not just for a second,

01:25:09--> 01:25:10

and then they go back into that same

01:25:10--> 01:25:12

suffering, but to do that for for a

01:25:12--> 01:25:14

month inshallah with with a month's worth of

01:25:14--> 01:25:16

food, that's such an immense blessing that forgotten

01:25:16--> 01:25:18

woman is able to facilitate. May Allah reward

01:25:18--> 01:25:19

them and accept from them and make it

01:25:19--> 01:25:21

easy for all their line workers.

01:25:22--> 01:25:23

Because I know it's a huge struggle on

01:25:23--> 01:25:25

the front lines right now in Gaza. And

01:25:25--> 01:25:27

just do the easy part that we're doing

01:25:27--> 01:25:29

here, which is just to give and to

01:25:29--> 01:25:31

show our love and show our hug and

01:25:31--> 01:25:33

show our our our care for the people

01:25:33--> 01:25:35

of Palestine, our response to their calls by

01:25:35--> 01:25:36

just feeding them for a little bit, giving

01:25:36--> 01:25:38

them some hygiene kits, giving them a little

01:25:38--> 01:25:40

bit of dignity as they try to suffer,

01:25:40--> 01:25:41

as they try to to push through for

01:25:41--> 01:25:43

the and and and eradicate as much of

01:25:43--> 01:25:45

the suffering as they're as they're experiencing right

01:25:45--> 01:25:46

now. So please continue to do so. I

01:25:46--> 01:25:48

know some people might be waiting for their

01:25:48--> 01:25:49

nighttime to kick in or their their their

01:25:50--> 01:25:51

if the heart to kick in, that's absolutely

01:25:51--> 01:25:53

okay, but keep that link and share it

01:25:53--> 01:25:54

with others. And let's, as a as a

01:25:54--> 01:25:56

community, do something beautiful once again, Insha'Allah.
